man i bought this same quad rail by tapco and the bottom hand rail u need to shave 2 little plastic parts for the bottom to fit snug and the top doesnt sit to still and doesnt line up with original iron sights but i left it on :P

A man nice arsenal. I recently picked up an inter ordnance AK and am planning on cloning an arsenal or putting a Dragunov style stock on it. So which do you think looks better? btw a lot of people knock on Tapco products but i don't give a shit. i could have picked up a saiga for $20 less but it doesn't take standard AK mags.

Thinking about getting and ak47 for the simple fact that I don't think my xd40 is not enough firepower in a home invasion situation.... there's been a series of home invasion in my neighborhood,pretty much asswholes from the city coming down and casing houses to rob at least 3 to 4 dudes kicking down doors and tying up folks and rob them sometimes shoot them... do y'all thing an AK would be overkill

@ThePrettybo Damn that sounds intense. If your going to get an AK trick it out like you would to an AR. AK's over penetrate. u can pick up an mp5, or glock 40 rifle conversion. an AR in 6.8 spc would be badass. but for home defense get a saiga 12 semi auto shotgun.

HAHAHA the cleaning rod!! Its so easy to forget that stupid thing is in there. Awesome vid. Have a WASR at the moment, trying to get an Arsenal SGL21 BUT NO ONE FREAKING HAS THEM!! Its funny just from the video I can really tell how much better the Arsenal parts fit together. I bought a russian wood kit for my WASR and it was a bear to change out. The upper handguard would not fit so (no sanding would help trust me) I installed a red plasticky bakelitey one.

actually im 23 years old and i have a arsenal sgl 21 with a midwest industries rail and a magpul afg grip and a magpul ctr stock. however i do like the tapco mags i never had a problem with them. and stop actin like a lil bitch and being all pissy. this is youtube and people are allowed to comment

To me, what you did, was e take the real Wheels off a 2010 Vette and put on those chrome hot wheel Ghetto wheels that the African AMericans love to do. It just looks cheap. There are plenty of High Quality products out there for the AK, Ultimak (rail system), Midwest Industries (rail system). Hell you cant mount any optics on the Tapco handguards because they flex

@HugoIStayHere - Those are fair questions. Will the new handguard make me a better shot or improve my overall markmanship? No. Those are subjective issues. As for giving me a tactical advantage... Yes, I think this upgraded handguard will provide an advantage. Particularly in the ability to incorporate optics, lights and/or lasers in my system. Other than that, it just looks cool.

@crest2598 - Yes, I think so. The only difference (that I'm aware of) between the 47 and the 74 is the actual round that it fires. Structurally, I think they're the same.

I got the intrafuse tri rail for my Saiga. It's ok. Only reason I got it is because it was like $45. I wish it were metal like the quad rail on my AR.

I agree, the aluminum one's are pretty sweet. Especially the Krebs and the Midwest AK rails. But, they're expensive and heavy. Like you, I'm all about high-value and lightweight. So far, I'm very pleased with this Intrafuse rail. Lots of dudes bash on Tapco parts but I've always had good experiences with their stuff. Thanks for the comments!

Yeah keep an eye on the screws though. If it's like mine where you had to put the rails on with the screws it came with, it'll need some loc tite at some point I am sure.

Btw...I have a full length foregrip handle on my Saiga AK and it works just fine.

yeah, that lever is tight. i use a rag to protect the metal and then tap it up using a flat-head screwdriver and a hammer. works every time.
