  • interesting piece. sad that the car never took off, although im curious were there two different versions of the Schuppan 962 CR? if you look in the videos next to this, there are videos of a Schuppan 962 CR with a much different body or so it says

  • @temidget2 I never knew....Some of the Schuppan enthusiasts on my FB know...Vern only talked to me about it briefly.

  • After watching nearly an hour of Porsche Rennsport Reunion videos I couldn't take it anymore. Baseball cap & tennis shoes on, my wife asked me where I was going. "Nowhere,." I said. She's heard this response many times before.

I had to take my 930 Turbo out of the garage and survey my neighborhood .....Fast!

After getting my needed Porsche high for about 30 minutes, I returned home ready to attack the day.

Then I discover the Schuppan 962 and your profile of it.

    Thanks for nothing. I'm off..

  • @showtime951 If you have a 930...you've got a car that's a handle of haul ass power. That car is maniacal.

  • So do I...Vern's globe trotting apparently. Everyone's trying to find him.

  • Imagine if they were built now? Schuppan wouldn't be bankrupt. Such a disappointment that his timing wasn't right for this car.

  • It's a true story. All public domain documented. I have nothing against the Japanese other than the investors that tanked my friend. I like your channel, met Tarrantino once....strange guy but love his early films. I also like your profile quote...there's great truth in that.

  • @TheDriveChannel Too true. I used to look after the alarm system at Verns house in Berkshire in the UK sometime around the mid 90s.

He and his wife always made me welcome whenever I had to go there. I remember these cars being built in the garage of his house, and also remember things kicking off with the investors of the day.

He had a sign in his garage that read,' speed limit 230mph'. It is still there to this day. I hope he is well and enjoying life again.

  • Wow, those japanese
