Who gives a fuck. Appearances shouldn't have anything to do with music. I'm one of those "emo kids" with skinny jeans, vans, and one of those "scene" hair cuts, but I still love Coldworld, Burzum, Morior Ergo Sum, Liar of Golgotha, Wine From Tears, Forgotten Tomb (one of my favorites)

Although my Favorite band is still Veil of Maya, because Marc Okubo is my favorite guitarist, he's a musical genius, as well as Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders)

Emo is a music genre. It has absolutely nothing to do with scenefags. Emo can be similar to DBSM sometimes, but the difference is the mood, and mother genre.

DBSM is very dark, eerie, sometimes angry, and metal.

Emo is extremely frustrated, messy, sometimes happy, and punk.

Also: Look up Real Emo, please. Men as Trees is a very good Post-Rock emo band.

And usually when I see someone talking about emo kids, I immediately assume that they're ignorant to the older, and revivalist stuff. Hence why I told you to look them up. (Not to get you into the genre)

As a note for the future, I'll try hard to keep my pretentious hipsterfag-self under tighter control, and just enjoy the music in the video.

Stop talking about emo here. This is a depressive black metal video that has nothing to do with real or mainstream emo. Old/real emo was about to express emotions through songs with a fast beat and singing like you really felt it (somethng between hardcore and punk rock).
