There are laws against sexual harassment in the workplace. Had that been the case with Dave L. you can bet your derriere that the women would have sued him.  This is simply the case of a charming, funny man who likes women and likes to have sex with them. Big deal. Get real.

His confession on the network was delivered in a somewhat self deprecating and comedic style...so he invited the audience to laugh about it, even though it was quite serious.

Evudently CBS has no such policy regarding consensual relationships with among employees. CBS issued a statement essentially allowing the DA to do whatever they felt neccessary. Was it a slip in judgement on Lettermans part? Perhaps. It is risky having intimate relationships with subordinates. But this guy Halderman clearly had the massive slip in judgement, thinking he could extort 2 mil on a kiss & tell.
