Heh, interesting to see that my lvl 133 RAmar deals the same amount of damage (and uses the same weapon setup (though a different mechgun)). Frozen Shooter / Spread Needle / Mechgun combo really destroys absolutely everything.

I still use it on my current lvl 129 RAmar (passed down from RAcast)

multi equip doesn't stop you from finding rares, only lvl +200 mags and stacked items, multiequip isn't stacking but it's still cheating and illegit

You can get weapons like the spread needle and frozen shooter offline =) and you can also find some rare items on very hard. There are many drop charts for PSO on the web so just check them out =)

hey psoragol you're lucky purplenum gets good drop for spread needle and only section ID that can get a rifle range mechgun (except on psobb)and shadow maxim the "red double saber" is called the STAG CUTLERY and the "red lavis cannon" is a RED SABER

afaik spread needle with 4 god speeds was what i used (which was duped probably) and i actually found some neat stuff offline like the red double saber, red lavis cannon, and elision i think.

they should make a true sequel to this instead of psu btw ;p

Yes was a great experience online. I was on the ruins on Normal (playing OFFLINE) on my first time through and in the large room at the end of the level after i killed all the enemies i saw ????? on the floor and at the time i didnt know about ??? weapons so i picked it up and telepiped out to get it examined. It turned out to be a RED DOUBLE SABER!!! I was so chuffed as it was the first ??? weapon i saw on the floor and i went on to do over 200 hours and never found a double saber again!

Yeah I think what kind or rare weapons you find has to do with whatever Section ID your character has. that's what the guide said for the DC version, for example:

You'll find Shot-series weapons more frequently and earlier than normal in Viridia. Partisans are more common too, but Slicers are very rare.

Ultimate Ruins is so much easier with a ranger. I have a HUnewearl @ Lv. 148 who still dies there. My RAcast has been in Ultimate Ruins since Lv. 109 (now at Lv. 125). The ability to use traps is a big plus, but so it the spread needle and God/Battle combination.

A Spread Needle is basically a combination of a Rifle, Mechgun, and Shot.

Rifle - Attack Speed

Mechgun - Attack Range (Unfortunately, it is that short of range)

Shot - The way bullets fire (As you can see, it shoots five bullets like a Shot!)
