@LumberjackFan1234 Um, John Curtis won state that year and is constantly ranked high in LA. They're "2A", but we all know about those private schools. They were 4A a year before that. How did they suddenly drop so much in classification? Longview went to the quarterfinals this year and got blown out. Curtis won state. Louisiana football is a joke compared to Texas.

Don't underestimate LA high school football...we can compete with y'all..

@LumberjackFan1234 Um, West Monroe hasn't beaten a Texas team since 2006 (Longview's 9-3 team, the worst team of hte last decade) after Longview blew them out 21-0 before that. Longview also smoked Evangel 5 years, Neville 2 years, Ruston 2 years, and others. Then again, Longview's coaching staff is mostly from Louisiana, so they knew what they were up against. Since 2001, Texas teams are something like 40-13 against Louisiana teams lol.

@LumberjackFan1234 Not saying Louisiana football is BAD (they have some good players, for sure, and top teams like Acadiana and whatnot COULD compete with the best in Texas), but overall, there is just too much depth of teams in the state of Texas.

welcome to louisiana. congrats, you beat a 2A school with a student body of 300..u think that JC runs the veer good? wow try Acadiana's veer.. line averages 300, not that 260 shit that JC has.. and they put up 65 a game without passing..

@sedro32 Louisiana football sucks compared to Texas, dude. Longview beat Evangel in 2002-2008 (Evangel won state most of those years, some of the time in 5A before dropping to 1/2A). We beat West Monroe the year they won 5A state in 2005. We beat 2A champs Curtis. We smoked Neville twice. We beat the shit out of Ruston and Ouachita as well. JC has 300 kids, but everyone knows about the recruiting amongst private schools in LA. Although that's still not enough to beat the likes of Longview.

@goten1214 did i say anything about louisiana and texas? no. i said Acadiana. keep your self posted on the La 5A championship this saturday.. West Monroe is going to get mauled alive.. acadiana has 50 seniors this year.. acadianas veer is the best veer offense in america hands down. they run it better than airforce/navy does in college.. and this is their most talented team ever.. they really are the best team in america for 2010..

So many teams run the veer in Louisiana... I love the veer. I won't be able to see that game or the Curtis vs Evangel game which I REALLY wanna see. Would you be able to record them for me? I'll send you my list and make you copies of my games... such as the 88 permian vs lee game.

dont be mistaken, it was a down year for curtis by all standards, theyll be back. By the way Longview has a very good team year in year out, they just dont get as much national respect because thier district is so tough its hard to win out in it
