  • @MegamanBeta you mean GEOMETRY? :D

  • 8 bit music will never die!

  • Capcoms version of Zelda. LOL

  • HOLY SHIT! It's dragon warrior!

  • Those poor trees haven't bloomed yet :[

  • I would totally play an 8 bit Okami game :D

  • @MegamanBeta But how would you draw circles?

  • @shadowlinkslapdog ...CURSE YOU PHYSICS!

  • someone needs to make an 8bit okami game

  • Great sounds!

  • I seriously need to Okami-ize my mobile!

  • this piece of music proves that even though music has advanced past the 8 bit era into full symphonic orchestras, 8 bit music will never die. The music here may be simple, but it's still fantastic. =)

  • Can I get the 8-bit version?

  • random whirlpool? wth?

  • @nikorama107 Maybe it's a mermaid spring....?

  • lol 8-bit rock roll

  • @MoonyStorm I don't know... the only thing on the Wii version that gives me trouble is the Glaive controls

  • i was thinking and this game would SUCK with the limeted controls and capabilities of the NES and i dont see how its any easier on the PS2 rather than the Wii.

  • Ahhh I love 8-bit! T_T

  • man i keep thinking, what if this game had came out back in the early 90's, the golden age of 8- bit greatness, with all the features that make the actual game unique like the celestial brush or this awesome music, it would have been an unmatched legend

  • @Jorgenitaliko for me it's still an unmatchable legend

  • @StrawJassi Oh no doubt, but you know, gaming back in the 90's was colossal and a game like okami back then would've set standarts pretty high off the charts

  • @Tazuchirekki yeah, combat may be not made for wii mode, but the brush-use is perfect for it.

    To your last sentence.....SECONDED!

  • @MasatoHyuga I don't understand.

With resemblance, I mean the 8-Bit waves resemble those from Dragon Quest monsters.

In addition, I was talking about Dragon Quest Monsters, not Warriors, which was a game for the Gameboy, I own it.

  • @JackOfSpades93 The art is basic 8-bit art, any resemblance I'd believe would be a complete coincidence. Unless Capcom made that Dragon Quest Monsters game. Arguably it can resemble Final Fantasy 3 (Japan only NES game) quite well too...

Music is 100% based off of Okami music for sure.

  • @MasatoHyuga I know that this is a 8-Bit remix of a song of the Okami-soundtrack, I have the game as well.

What I'm saying is, that someone used the art from Dragon Quest Monsters and tiled it together so it would replicate a scene from Okami. This person also altered sprites of people to make it look like characters from Okami, such as Ushiwaka.

  • @JackOfSpades93 Still completley convinced it's mere coincidence. They have a Japanese Okami site using the entire Kamiki village with many many other 8-bit sprites, this isn't a fan picture.

  • @MasatoHyuga Comparing it face to face, there are actually some differences.

I know this picture is from the Japanese Okami website, but the sprites have a very similar look to it, especially that whirl in the sea.

  • @MasatoHyuga The art is based of Dragon Quest Monsters, which is, by the way, a Gameboy-game.

The music resembles the music from the game too.

  • my little brother used to play okami for hours like 2 years ago ... i dont really like video games so i didnt pay atention ... but now at this vacation days i picked up the wii remote and now i am in love with this game hahahaha i think im just about to finish it ... i am in kamiki 100 years in the past lol and some times my little brother has to help me ... that make me feel like shit hahahaha

  • @swtchnmusk ...almost finished? No, you still got 2 dungeons and a whole reigon of Nippon left to explore.

  • @maxspecs yeah i know ..... i finished it a week ago .... awsome game !!!

  • This is awesome.

  • Haha cool

  • interesting...

  • Best 8-bit remixer ever!

  • Man, this sounds so real too. I'd believe there was an Okami for NES after hearing this.

  • i think an MMO for okami would be great

  • @cman456100

    Why?

On paper, that sounds great, but what could they do with Okami to make an MMO?

  • @seanileus well, they could add servers and wi-fi to connect, and there would me the WiiSpeak(tm) thing, and you could be a mod or a guide or help others in the campaign. Only the Bosses would be one player. Yami, maybe, but otherwise it would all be multiplayer. But, the lag amount would be monumental. Of course, you could choose to be 1P or in the MMO server.

  • @cman456100

I'm sorry, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

  • @seanileus well you cant blame me for ideas jackass.

HELP! THE THOUGHT POLICE ARE TRYING TO GET ME

  • @gamer9548: Huh? When did I say that?

  • This needs to be on Nico Nico Douga.

  • YES! I WOULD SO PLAY THAT!

  • i have a whole bunch of these 8-bit songs on my computer :) i found them on the Japanese site.

  • I have it, and I'm going through the game again, and I must say, Its very emtional, but it ends happily of course.

  • Hehehe... Cute <3

  • Man, they really strove for authenticity with these...

  • Yeah I think Capcom used the same instruments they used with Megaman 9 for this. It sounds authentic, but of course couldn't play on an actual NES.

  • I dunno. Probably, but this came out in 2006, way before Megaman 9 existed, and there are plenty of ways to make 8-bit music- both authentic and snyth. They could of very well cooked these up on a real NES, or use NES emlators and make it manually. But, yeah, seems like a waste of time. Probably was like Megaman- guess we'll never know...

  • Oh come on. You and I both know this would never play on an NES and neither would the Megaman 9 music. The 8-bit tracks came a while after the game release, not instantly at 2006. At least this isn't shitty GSXCC fan made stuff.

  • Maybe Capcom should do a "MM9" with Okami in a few years time...

  • Comment removed

  • @whoever gave me the thumbs down on my "MM9" comment:

I meant Capcom should make an 8-bit re-release of Okami, not a Mega Man game with Okami in it.

    I just used "MM9" as a metaphor.

  • yeah a 8-bit okami would be awsome :-)

  • No, no, no, no, NO.

  • oh ya thats right

"abysmal".....(lol ya i had to look up the defonition).....k well , my self , matsu here and alot more will strongly disagre with your "abysmal" (XD) statement...

but who are you telling to get the game?

  • I dunno.. anyone? <_<

  • That's a wonderful rendition. Very faithful to the original!

  • it's sounds somethin like lengend of zelda with pokemon ruby, emarld, saphire and the rest of the gameboy pokemon games ^_^

  • Pretty Good for 8-bit! I am serious! It's cool!

  • ...reminds me of Pokemon... aha...

  • love it. my favorite piece in the game, very-well transformed into 8-bits here.

  • Taka Pass, correct?

  • Taka Pass uses the same song that Shinshu Fields uses.

This IS Shinshu fields, the other one turned out to be a shorter version of Shinshu fields.

  • ROX! ;P
