@theGregfish I am working on another site at the moment, teaching juggling. I am planning significant time in the studio early next week though. So, that should produce more videos.
And just so you know, this is a new video that I posted. So, they are still coming. I've just moved the majority of them off the YouTube account and offered them only to people in my mailing list on my website. So, if you want to see what all is available, try checking out my monthly newsletter.
I've been teaching myself how to make balloon animals and so far I have pretty much perfected a snake and a worm. I'm practicing now on how to do an eel.
Wow this one is cool nice job.. i was wondering do you wear your vest to all of your gigs or only for your tutorials? because I'm thinking of getting one but i don't know what the proper attire for balloon making is. Should i wear bright colors or a vest like yours? I won't dress like a clown because i don't want to be one.
@dlpmoe1117 I wear a vest like this at most of my gigs and my tutorials. I do NOT wear it for most of my restaurant gigs and I'm starting to move away from it for pool parties and events in the outside summer heat of Florida.
As far as "the attire of a balloon artist" is concerned, I wouldn't worry about it. Be yourself, have fun, and make sure it looks clean and professional. I 100% agree about not dressing like a clown. For most cases, they make less money and don't get any respect.
@JustinTheMagician12 Well, from what you're telling me... I'd say the best advice I can give is to change the way you're approaching them. If you are trying to land a restaurant gig just by walking in there, then you're already hurting yourself.
As far as prices go, I know magicians that get double and tripple that. So, it shoudln't be an issue.
If you are in the states, feel free to give me a call and I'd be happy to spend a few minutes on the phone explaining how I pitch to restaurants
