These are European Hedgies, found abundantly from England to Greece, they are three or four times bigger than the African Pygmy hedgie and NOT good pets,like the African is.

every night in germany at my house i go hedgehog hunting i catch all kinds of hedgehogs and then the next day i bring them to hedgehog island last night was one of my best nights we caught eight little hedgehogs babies

@stuffingchicken So what do you do with all these hedgehogs you torment - is it a tourist attraction - if so I wouldn't visit it - if you were saving animals in danger then I would commend your actions - but to trap wild animals just living thier lifes for your gratification is sick and I am disgusted. I hope someday someone does to you what you have done to them.

@jur4ik269 So you are saying that it is impossible for there to be a lighter breed of hedgehog that may be milling around a house eating junk. Pretty narrow minded, or you didn't pay attention in zoology. There are multiple types of hedgehog not all of them are darker toned, there are lighter toned ones that are wild as well, perhaps you should go get your information straight.

@brennamelnyk Come to the northern Europe. There are plenty road-killed. But if you prefer them alive, camp in our balcony on summer. :D Hedgies already have their homes in a forest near-by. :)
