they ask about the name detektivbyrån "the detective agency" and got the answer: we listened alot to a musicgenre we called spyrock, hammond organ and electric guitars and gangsterriffs.
They also talk about the sound of Detektivbyrån and they explain that they played Jazz before and even harder styles lite Hardcorepunk. But they learned the instruments they play and listened to musik like Yann Tiersen. and the music they created went on to be what we now as Detektivbyrån.
They also talk about the songtitles and albumname, and they said that because they havent got any lyrics it wasnt as easy as just taking something from the lyrics. But the name Wermland is the name of the "state" they come from and they choose the old way of writing it because without Ä it would be easier to promote in other countries.
They also talk about that it is easier to find an audience with "softer" instruments like accordion and drums with jazzsticks instead of regular wooden. they even play ordinary household scissors.
The interviewer say that he feel that the music is very happy and joyful. They respond with saying that its glad to hear and they themselves feel that it is happy. The instruments are happyinstruments.
The interview ends with them saying that they hope the band will be "hur stort som helst" and it translates "the biggest in the world" but not as cocky as in english. they hope but have no idea they say.
oh, i translated the whole interview instead of just recapping it :)
oh thanks this is great! i hope they become as big and popular as they dream.. but it always worries me that if they do they'll lose their warmness, i know of no other band as sweet as they seem to be.
I love how swedish sounds... but I can't understand a word... can somebody give me a fast overview of all this? pleaaaseee?
Thanks
