I like GHWT better than Rock Band just because it's just a blast on every instrument. There's not really any bad songs to play in GHWT while some songs in Rock Band 2 are just not fun.

And Guitar Hero's difficulty. But screw that I play all that on real instruments :)

You know... I think GH:WT has the better overall trackset (but WTF @ "On The Road Again"?) and better drums (oh, the irony)... and I like it's encore system for unlocks a little more, too; but RB2 has the better scoring and tour system, the better guitar controllers, and probably the better interface as well. I also liked how "Play Challenge" had CONSIDERABLY more (and more sensible) tracklists to play, than simply featuring them all once.
I still miss the indie/bonus influence that GH2 had.

rock band 2 of course! if you have rock band 1, you can import all songs from rock band 1 into rock band 2 and future rock band games. they will save to the hard drive and loaded from there. it works on Both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. also 300+ downloadable songs win.
guitar hero instraments are compatible with rock band 2. i recomend using a guitar hero guitar over a rock band guitar for guitar/bass playing.

Personally, I prefer Rock Band, as it has a much clearer picture, easier to play but harder to master, and has more of my favourite tracks. But I can understand why some prefer Guitar Hero.

GHWT has got ozzy,SOAD and motoerhead but it has more crap than rock band like 30 seconds to mars and those songs witch arnt even english. guitar hero 3 has the best playlist so far i think.
I personally think rock band 2 is a better game, in overall presentation, to the song list, to the fact that the tour mode doesn't consist of you picking posters from a room, with no real motivation other than to get the next song. Rock band 2 gets you to keep playing. Plus, it's note layout makes more sense. though i do agree that GH intrustments (with the execption of the drums) are better

Actually, if you consider Rock Band a copy of Guitar Freaks and drum mania, then you should also look at the fact that GH:WT is a copy of Guitar Freaks and Drum mania AND Rock Band since it was released after Rock Band.
I agree that the Guitar Hero peripherals are superior, but the bass pedal certainly isn't. It's cheaply made, and is nothing like the real thing.
Also, it's the Guitar Hero soundtrack that ripped from RB because of reasons stated before.
Although I should mention that I DO own both games. They're both pretty good, but really in all honesty I can say that Rock Band has a superior songlist, but only because it has songs that I like.
The drums for GH are alright, but with only 3 drum pads will limit itself a lot because the charting for drum fills will not look as nice as Rock Band 4 pads.
btw MY OPINION. I'm alright with everyone's opinion as long as they state some strong factual points and not go fanboy for either games.

No, Activision and Neversoft and Harmonix all helped with the first GH. Harmonix quit before GH2 was thought of. Activision and Neversoft then created the next 3 GHs and Harmonix started making RB 1 and 2
No, idiot. Harmonix made Guitar Hero 1, Guitar Hero 2, and Rocks the 80s. They then sold the franchise to Activision, who, IMO, ruined the series. Harmonix went on to create Rock Band, which Activision (Neversoft) then copied for WT.

World Tour is for Hardcore people, whom like a challenge.
Rock Band 2 slightly easier, easy for the whole family, hence the No Fail mode.

The drums for GH are alright, but with only 3 drum pads will limit itself a lot because the charting for drum fills will not look as nice as Rock Band 4 pads.
btw MY OPINION. I'm alright with everyone's opinion as long as they state some strong factual points and not go fanboy for either games.

even though the RB soundtrack, and songpack 1 ripped tracks from GH 1 through to 3?
I prefer the challenge of GH, makes the game last much longer seeing as i can pretty much FC every song on RB1, songpack 1 and AC/DC RB
The plastic in the RB kick pedal is weaker than that in the GH one mind
but they are both enjoyable games
though I did laugh when EA had a lawsuit brought out against them due to copyright infringement (due to Konami being patent holders of instrument controllers)

i have both... guitar hero has songs for old people and a has great graphics.. rrockband has WAY more songs than GH and is quite harder to play songs with hammerons. my vote is rockband 2 since the GHWT music and online suck bad. 1 OUT OF 20 TRYIES FOR GOING ONLINE ON GH WORK WHERE AS ROCKBAND 2 WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME.

wt is better, rockband was just a rip off of guitar hero, they just tried to make it better and it ended up being shitty anyway.. they rushed what guitar hero was planning out ahead of time; to even compare a game like that to gh is like comparing Marisa Miller to your mom

Activision and neversoft made GH3, not GH1 and 2. Harmonix got bought by MTV and neversoft took over GH.
So Harmonix are the original creators of GH.

No, Activision and Neversoft and Harmonix all helped with the first GH. Harmonix quit before GH2 was thought of. Activision and Neversoft then created the next 3 GHs and Harmonix started making RB 1 and 2

No, idiot. Harmonix made Guitar Hero 1, Guitar Hero 2, and Rocks the 80s. They then sold the franchise to Activision, who, IMO, ruined the series. Harmonix went on to create Rock Band, which Activision (Neversoft) then copied for WT.

First off Withough guitar hero there wouldent be guitar hero 3 because Harmonix (makers of rockband (2) guitar hero (2)) sold their game to actavision after GH2 because they wanted to do something els.
Also i have played guitar hero and rock band and rock band is BY FAR more challenging because of the DLC and songs like visions and panic attack.

Harmonix, the people who made Rock Band made Guitar Hero. Then Activision and Neversoft bought the rights to Guitar Hero. Therefore, Harmonix didn't COPY Guitar Hero, they just moved on to bigger and better things.
And let me tell you, Harmonix is definitely doing a better job with their games.
