since that day ...i think since last seven days only song is being played on my laptop...
not even in my wildest dream i had ever thot that i will become crazy....literally mad for a LAWANI.......NATRANG IS A MASTER PIECE ANS SO IS THIS SONG....THE TEAM HAS DONE VERY VERY SUPERB JOB....MANY SONG BECOME HIT FOR SOME TIME AND JUST GET LOST IN DARK...BUT THIS SONGS AND THE MUSIC WILL REMAIN FOR GENERATIONS TO REMEMBER.......
@dreamgirl234 d film is about d nachya it means dat this program of dancing is known as TAMASHA its of Maharastra and in tamasha der is a man who behaves like woman known as nachya d story revolves around d hero who play d role of nachya in dis film its shows d sturggle of being nachya
totaly absurd culture of marathi ...see the expression as if she is welcoming for a intercourse...what culture is this shame full instead they should pray to lord pandarpur vithall and shridi sai baba for humbelness ..no one is humble in this part of india....lust is flowing like a river ..enjoy it till u have youth you marathas they when u become older u do politics .......kindly take the name of that supreme lord only he can save you not this lavini or shivaji the warrior
@cmbbsrable : This is exactly a public entertainment song meant to have some erotic / suggestive content. Do you think they will have a beautiful woman in the song to preach about spirituality? We marathis are an intellectual lot, and know the right place of every emotion and urge in life. We are not afraid of eorticism nor do we overvalue it. You will find saints, scientists, intellectuals, artists and visionaries coming from this culture. We do not need you to tell us about god.
@vayusandesh dear i too have very good marathi friends ,,,i stayed in pune for most of my life ,,,but as i keep shifting to different state of india what i observed i expressed ..this is a place for expressing ones feelings.....no offences to any state ..but see as culture ,song dance of tamil nadu ,u see also orissa.... is totally centers towards the god..which is the ultimate truth ,but here i see some beautiful woman shaking her assisted so can u give respect to that girl............
@cmbbsrable every Indian culture give too much care and respect to woman because it is from where you your body ,,,,yes mine too has come..i have seen people following some king some so called stylish politicians ..and this natarang .....this will deviate people from ultimate truth.....time will pass like a sand in fist .....kindly dont take it in another manner ...i am not disrespectful ...but this things most of us decent educated south Indian find surprising in land of Ganesha and sai baba.
@cmbbsrable : You call the whole marathi culture 'absurd' and then say you meant no offence? Why should any song or dance always be centered around god? Why should there be any guilt in enjoying song without god? Moreover have you heard of powadas, Gondhal, Dindi, Phad, Samana, Tamasha in Marathi? What you see here is Lavni (literally means love song). You only 'stayed' in Pune, the heart of marathi literature and culture, but never really 'lived' there. .. continued.....
@cmbbsrable : You have no understanding of how culturally and intellectually advanced we are as a people.
I can show many examples of Tamil movies that are absurd and sexually devaint. Why do you think so many Tamil movies song scenes are centered towards the woman's navel (should I say Tamils want to see any orfice of the woman, and the navel stands for something else that they desperately want to see?) ... continued...
@cmbbsrable: Dear cmbbs-rable you just sound miserable. I am not a maratha, I could not understand a thing in this song. All I know is this is a Lavani, meant to be a love song. If you could see an absurd thing that just REFLECTS your absurd way of thinking (as u say that's my feeling). You said 'lord only can save', have you heard of Apsara, Rambha, Urvashi menaka ? You know where they dance according to mythological scripts ? (Don't link me to any religion, if you could reply, I am atheist )
@vvibha3 Here comes the translation - Part 1: ))) Tried to be as close to original expressions as possible !
Delicate tempting body bathed in full moon light ! My skin decked in gold, showered in silver, radiating like a diamond ! I’m adorned and bright as moon lighting the stage ! Seeing this young lightning Court of Indra’s stunned around me ! Here comes Apsara down from Indra’s kingdom ! Colors of dawn spreading from her radiating skin ! Her subtle smile lights up stage like a full moon !
Her face beautiful as a radiant diamond, she’s a maid in blossom ! Her blouse tell-tales of her age, silently bearing its load ! Her wasp waist is tempting, as well as her chin and snapping eyes ! She is Rati full of desire, she is a spark of sexuality ! Its musk, old chum, spreading with the breeze !
I’m adorned and bright as moon lighting the stage ! Seeing this young lightning Court of Indra’s stunned around me !
@Desi4evah : there are actually 2 different alphabets in marathi devnagri.
One with the 'jh' and one with the 'zh' sound. So all words like 'bijli' are not necessarily pronounced with the 'zh' sound. The verb 'bhizli' in marathi actually means 'got wet' (for female gender), and the word 'bijli' means the same as in hindi.
The verb 'thizhli' actually means frozen. Here implying frozens with suprise (on witnessing the apsara's beauty).
