My new (circa 1956-1959) Kodak Brownie 300 (Model 1) 8mm Movie Projector

You should ask around your family. Most of the time the older ones have some 8mm's. I have all of these home movies that i watch. In moderation of course. But if they dont then thats ok too.

I was actually able to get a hold of a few films, including the family films.

I have the same one! Its actually not a Brownie "300" it's just a brownie. One of the first that same out. The "300"'s would have had 300 printed underneath the Brownie writing in cursive on the projector's lens compartment area. Upon more research for my own i discovered that production of this model of Brownies was between 1953-1956. My also works in pristine condition. Except the instructions were no where to be found when I got it. :( Great vid though. Its looks very nice!

I have this projector and like 30 movies (family heirloom) and I finally got the projector out, figured out how to run it, all set to go and there's not a bulb in it! Have no clue where to get a bulb...

Just about the only place you can get them now is on eBay. They range from $25 to $40, it just depends on who you buy it from. My lamp busted a couple weeks back and need to get a new one myself!
