i think that the reason that some characters look 'different' is because there are sooo many anime characters out there that its better to make them look 'weird' because otherwise so much of the characters would look alike that you would get confused who who is.

I disagree with many of the characters on this list. For one thing Yugioh's style fits the characters and makes it work. So Honda could use some work but for the most part the hair matches the characters. And it worked for the series. Second Drosselmyer from Princess Tutu is not supposed to look normal to begin with. That's what makes him so mysterious and unique. And the star lights didn't look that bizarre. Okay so they didn't make the best men, but they weren't terrible! That's my opinion.

I. ADORE. SAILOR MOON!! Okay for a personal preference list, but really held no water for a list that was suppose to be talking about characters that were wrong by "characteristics and physical appearance". Few had anything inherently wrong with their designs, not to mention that both Excalibur and Bobobo look the way they do for a reason, and thus did not need to go back to the drawing board.

Like I said, it's fine if you don't personally like them, but it doesn't make them bad character designs.

Yu Gi Oh was basically the newer version of the original 'King of Games' (made in 1998) hence keeping all the character designs, clothes, and other designs. And for the Starlights, they are originally girls in boys clothing (in the manga) and they look like girls (in the manga). Animation just messes things up and makes it look weird.
