You may want to bite the bullet and move over to Final Cut Express, which support AVCHD. You clearly have a lot of talent, and once you get past the learning curve will find that FCE has a lot more power than even the old iMovie HD. Not exactly cheap, but not ruinously expensive.

Thanks much for your "Testing Night Footage..." video, which convinced me to buy an HF10... Truly stunning.

And 16GB SD cards are down to ~ $30 at Amazon...

This camera won't work in the old iMovie? :( Did you install the software it came with maybe I think I read somewhere.

The video in high-quality looks amazing, this looks like an amazing camera. I agree with you, though I tried the new iMovie once but don't like it at all, it would really difficult to have to use the new version with this camera :(

I really did not like the imovie08! I fellt like there were so many creative things I could no longer do. I have yet to install the software it came with. Maybe i should also give it a try. I will comment after doing so : )

After I get my HF100 I doubt I will be posting any new stuff on youtube.

Vimeo is a site similar to youtube. It is free to join and they don't cut down the quality of your videos AT ALL!

youtube is finally seeing the light. they are starting to accommodate full quality video. These online sites have a very short life time due to so much competition. They really dont have a choice but to keep up with what people want, full quality video with stereo sound. You can already set you player default to play high quality. All video posted after March 08 is available in high quality : )
