Tron Legacy came out pretty much at the very end of the year, so maybe it didn't get nominated because of that. Keep in mind, the Oscars have deadlines for all nominations, including music. I'm hoping that Daft Punk just missed that deadline and still has a shot this year instead of being completely tossed aside. It's probably listed somewhere online as to when the deadlines for the last Oscars were. There still might be a chance for them this year. The soundtrack is still going strong.

This movie was made for the sole purpose of giving Daft Punk a chance to make an original soundtrack... and for me to see Olivia Wilde in a skin-tight suit for 2 hours.
@JRevengeavengerY Because it's too awesome to be contained in one part. They had to divide it into pieces of subcritical mass, or else it'd undergo nuclear fusion. Turns out that that the whole soundtrack is 3.9 times critical mass, so they had to divide it into at least 4 pieces to prevent a reaction. However, the U.S.NRC required that it be divided into 5 pieces for added safety. They argued that in some 5.1+ systems, over unity might occur, in which case a reaction may occur at quarter sizes.
@JRevengeavengerY Oh, and did you notice tokamak that the movie comes in? It's embedded into the DVD. It's a very flat tokamak, but it's a tokamak. It's the only way the whole soundtrack can safely be shipped in one package. So if you ever dare to burn the whole sound track to one disc, make sure you burn it to a tokamak DVD. They comply to the ISO 1337 standard. Look for DVD++PWN TL format discs. That's DVD Power Write Now Tokamak Layer. ++ = inner ring blank & you must drill hole.

@JRevengeavengerY Because it's too awesome to be contained in one part. They had to divide it into pieces of subcritical mass, or else it'd undergo nuclear fusion. Turns out that that the whole soundtrack is 3.9 times critical mass, so they had to divide it into at least 4 pieces to prevent a reaction. However, the U.S.NRC required that it be divided into 5 pieces for added safety. They argued that in some 5.1+ systems, over unity might occur, in which case a reaction may occur at quarter sizes.

@JRevengeavengerY Oh, and did you notice tokamak that the movie comes in? It's embedded into the DVD. It's a very flat tokamak, but it's a tokamak. It's the only way the whole soundtrack can safely be shipped in one package. So if you ever dare to burn the whole sound track to one disc, make sure you burn it to a tokamak DVD. They comply to the ISO 1337 standard. Look for DVD++PWN TL format discs. That's DVD Power Write Now Tokamak Layer. ++ = inner ring blank & you must drill hole.

@PhoenixUnity07 I didn't meant the remix albums as well, I just meant all the tracks that were featured in the movie. Technically getting them all is impossible, since there were 3 short tracks that aren't in the Soundtrack, but if you wanted all the possible ones, you'd have to get:

@8888themaster8888 He probably had all the ships and tanks on the Rectifier because it was the first place his rectified soldiers would be, and the fastest way to ge them to their ships. CLU flew the Rectifier to the portal because there were WAY too many soldiers on board for them to get into ships and flew themselves over. The landing pad would have been full before three ships landed.

Exactly, since Flynn stopped writing new programs after CLU took over, CLU's resource of programs would be limited. And after losing a few legions against the Earth militaries, CLU's army would be reduced to a few soldiers.
