In answer to your questions about where are the Aussies? We have been protesting at rallies around the country and we have been emailing and telephoning our members for Parliament to ask them to vote against the live export trade. That's where we've been! People ARE involved in this and they ARE appalled by the long-standing cruelty that has been permitted to be called a "business transaction". We will beat this awful thing. Send this link to everyone you know and keep talking about the issue.
Needs more footage of the cruel trade to WAKE AUSTRALIA UP! We are the voice for all animals and i am proud of all you caring decent humane people out there who have voiced your feelings and are making a stand!. Come on everyone get behind this disgusting archaic, primitive unnecessary.I thought we were CIVILIZED! Its 2011 people, ACT NOW!,
What a weak pathetic country Australia is,we the people should be screaming for our voice to be heard and obeyed. How dare these puffed up self interested corrupt thugs make decisions that make us look cruel and ignorant to the rest of the world. It is about time that tradition, and all this fake religious rubbish is thrown out and we grew up and started treating animals as we would want to be treated.
And I'm the second and from the mediterranean! Where are the Aussie comments? I've signed many petitions with you Aussies against this horrific trade as I have to ban it in Europe/U.S and the UK. It should be banned world-wide and have an carcass only trade.
Agree that it doesn't hit home hard enough - but it's better than nothing as it'll keept this issue in people's minds - hopefully! Good luck.
I like it. It is not overly dramatic but it sends a message that we do not want to send our animals to brutal countries who don't care about animals. As well I like the message that more jobs would become available here in Australia if we stop live animal transport.
Thanks for the support Kiwi !!! We love our livestock nearly as much as you guys! lol. Seriously, its great the word is getting out, it is a global issue, thanks xxx Great add thanks to RSPCA and Animals Australia!
I am for anything that will shed light on animal suffering. Live Animal Export brings so much shame-it needs to be stopped in it's ugly tracks! This ad could use some depictions however, it needs to show some of the horrors that they face and really bring the reality home to viewers.~
I LOVED IT! ANYTHING that will shed light on HOW TO END ANIMAL SUFFERING, HAS MY VOTE!!!~ What has been happening with animals here on earth, due to human beings and factory farming, has been more than disgraceful. Thank HEAVEN, for the good caring people who I pray, will make all the difference!~
Hey Kimberlite66. I agree. This is a seriously worthy ad but the only people likely to respond are the already converted. Maybe we could get Gruen Transfer to have a go? (I loved their Greens ad - brilliant compared to the real Greens' ads. See it on youtube.) I have already spent so much on this campaign, to shell out more on advertising I need to see an ad that really will kill the export trade. I'm not sure this is it. Honestly? Worthy but dull. That said, I would so love to be wrong....
Well done RSPCA, Animals Australia and WSPA. Let's not give up the fight to stop Live Animal Export!! I'll be there at the rally on Sunday. Time is running out to contact your local member, vote is on the 18th, make sure you have all contacted your local MP and voice your disgust over this issue. ;-)
WOW!! Am i the first to comment? Cool.... and i'm not even an Aussie. I am a kiwi supporting the Australian public outcry to BAN LIVE EXPORT. It's truly horrible. I've made my donation for this ad. Yes....RSPCA in Aussie takes kiwi credit cards. lol. This is a feel good message though, hardly punchy enough to get the message through i feel. Needs flickers of 'unhappy' animal bits to stop people in their tracks and THINK!! Not provocative enough. But then... family viewing and all that!!
