Hey, was wondering if i can get some feedback with this problem i got going with my car. Its a 1994, 900se Saab, turbo 2.0. Car is at rest, on a take off i can no longer have same release of gas and clutch i used to before, if i give same amount if gas as before, it feels as if it gets flooded and starts to jump tremendously. Does same in 2nd gear once at anything above 20mph, and in 3rd around 50mph. In an encounter with hills, the car just cant scale them. Is this a trans. prob or sumtin else?

on a 1998,v6 w/air, ford explore 4.0. now we flushed it, gave it new screen and fluid. the old fluid had a light goldesh stream in it. would the solenoid be inside the housing?

Hello, I have a quick question. My 2002 mercury sable has a bad problem with catching speed and it shakes a lot when its about to catch speed and it does it often WHILE I am driving and when I stop it does it too. I dont leak fluid, I dont get much noise, my check engine light isnt on and I have no problem going into park or drive. Is this a transmission problem?

1996 ford explore will not go in reverse. however it drives well and shifts like it suppose to. help please anyone that knows what the problem is. it started with the selector not going in the right position.

@earabeach the solenoid is dirty or gone. flush the fluid and clean or replace the solenoid.

hey i recently bought a 2004 mustang gt that has a manual transmission. The car runs great but the only weird thing it does is when i'm going down a hill i push the clutch in and after a few seconds the car stalls. It also stalls if when i'm going down the hill and i shift it into neutral. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so what was the problem? Thank you in advance

i bought a car with a manual transmission but i noticed how now my second gear only goes up to 35 when it's suppose to reach 40 mph... the third gear only goes up to 45 when its suppose to go up to 60 idk what could be wrong.. if any one know can you tell me please.. the car its not a brand new car but it's in good condition... can anyone tell me how it can be fixed i apreciate if anyone gives advice.

I have a 99 cougar with 300 k on it . And I have NO transmission problems . I have ran RP in it ever since it came out and changed it every 50 k miles . Also run it in the motor . I have had to replace the flyweel and timing chain though . But dont think I will be having any more problems , since I put RP Lube on the timing chain since it was already out :)

hey big question for ya. im looking to buy my buddies s10 and the gears and messed up. its and automatci. neutral is drive, reverse is in between park and reverse and when i put it in park you gotta hold the shifter up in park and shut it off so it stays there and doesnt roll. is this a bad buy?

i have a 1997 buick skylark, and i was driving it on the highway, as i tried to accelerate to go faster, the car revved up to 5000 rpms, but the car wasn't accelerating, after maybe a second or two, the car starts to accelerate really slowly, but i dont know what is wrong, could that be a transmission problem?

@derning302 hmm.. maybe thats the carburetor problem... the carburetor may pump too much fuel into the engine and causing it to "choke"...

@derning302 The gear slipped into neutral, hence the high RPM's and no movement, then it went slow cause it knew it was the wrong gear. My 2001 Chevy Malibu 3.6V6AUTO did the same. I ended up getting my Trans replaced.

I was wondering, I have a 2000 GMC Safari Conversion Van. It's pretty heavy, about 5000 pounds. Whenever it shifts at lower speeds (10-30 mph) it lurches. (Automatic transmission) A new thing now, it whines. The whine gets higher and higher pitched with the engine speed. You shift Up, the whine gets lower. I don't know if this is the whine he's talking about.

I'm curious to know your thoughts on a Jeep I inherited: 98 wrangler 4 cyl 5sp, and this sucker can't get up to beyond 52 miles an hour, and regardless of gear much beyond 4k rpm it "lurches," and a buddy of mine says it's the clutch. What do you think?

most likely it is when you let of the clutch and give it gas to take off does it rev high and goes real slow if so 1 it could be low clutch fluid 2 you need to adjust your clutch 3 low transmission fluid 4 bad gears 5 wore out clutch

Turns out the cat converter was seriously clogged - replacing it did the trick and it's back to normal!
