i am german and as if you may know poltergeist is a german word originally and if you are german and you hear it the first time in english it really sounds ridiculous... and the name bouldergeist is even funnier xD i just like it^^
lol youd think bouldergeist needed hand cream because of those cracks, :P ok that was sad joke :S
it was a love/hate situation with this boss for me. i kept getting hit at the final blow bits, thank god i had a double health mushroom before the fight
Overhazard, did you know you can hold multiple Bomb Boos with one swing?
Artrocks, that SMB3 reference is fromout the second level of world 1. I believe (sp?) there are more stages with that music in SMB3, but the stage i mentioned feautered it first.
I don't know. The game moves pretty fast. But if you're excited about these early parts of the game, you'll probably be REALLY excited seeing more of it.
I agree with you, Bouldergeist's daredevil run gave me a lot of trouble on my first time too. I'd still say the Luigi Purple Coins (Toy Time) mission is the hardest in the game, though. (Have you uploaded that one?)
Then it means that you had the control stick tilted in a certain direction when you turned on the Wii, plugged the Nunchuk into the Wii Remote, or put the batteries back in.
ALWAYS keep the control stick in the neutral position until you start playing.
Lol, I named a Regirock after this dude. This is one of my favorite bosses. He's hard, but not too hard. Not the kind that you never want to battle again.
Oh, and you can shoot the rocks Bouldergeist throws at you with star bits while they're still in the air, which destroy them. You still get bomb boos from black rocks, and its useful for impatient people or just dodging rocks.
I love those little bomb ghosts. They're among my favorite enemies in the game because they're so unique. It's too bad they only show up in this level, though I guess they're only truly useful here. I find it odd that walking into Bouldergeist's hands don't cause damage. This battle is best fought up close then. Otherwise, you'd be hitting his hands with the ghosts, and that could cause this to take longer than it should.
I like the Bomb Boos too. The Mario brothers get their biggest comeuppance against the Boos by turning their tongues against them to whack them at things.
And yeah, though it might make you dizzy, Bouldergeist is a lot weaker from close-range.
On an unrelated note, the new YouTube thumbnail system sucks. Take a look at the three thumbnails used to represent this video--Luigi running toward the mansion, Luigi talking to the Luma Shop guy, and the Star appearing. No Bouldergeist at all.
Wow, the star power song is exactly the same as Mario for the N64! (Which was the last adventure-type Mario game I've played.) That's good. This game sure makes good use of the Wii's motion controls!
It would be funny if it like 0:28-
Toad: Luigi was kidnapped by a monster that lives here.
Luigi: I think you need glasses.

Yes, I do. I just prefer not to shoot Star Bits.

I finally have a Wii! SMG is the first game I have for it, but I'm having trouble making Mario move with the Nunchuk. Can you help me?
Artrocks93 3 years ago
You make Mario move as you would for Mario 64 or Mario Sunshine: jsut tilt the control stick i the direction you want Mario to move in.
Overhazard 3 years ago
The problem is he won't move in that direction. In fact he runs in another direction and doesn't stop even if he hits a wall
Artrocks93 3 years ago
Then it means that you had the control stick tilted in a certain direction when you turned on the Wii, plugged the Nunchuk into the Wii Remote, or put the batteries back in.

Never mind. My dad got it to work. So far, I've discovered 3 galaxies: The Good Egg, Honeyhive, and Loopdeeloop galaxies. Surfing 101 is hard!
Artrocks93 3 years ago
It's a pretty big roadblock--but once you clear it, you'll be a lot better at the game. The game's difficulty goes up by quite a bit after it.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Ok, now I've unlocked the following galaxies:
Good Egg Galaxy
Honeyhive Galaxy
Flipswitch Galaxy
Loopdeeloop Galaxy (still didn't clear it yet)
Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor
Space Junk Galaxy
Sweet Sweet Galaxy (I still don't get what the Super Mario Bros. 3 reference is, even though I have the game)
Rolling Green Galaxy (It took me forever to beat)

Overhazard 3 years ago
Well, I called it "BoldrGeist". Sorry for not being exact.
Tok169 3 years ago
The red mushroom you could have bought was a Mega Mushroom like in MKWii, right?
ishmaelman4466 3 years ago
no, it makes your health reach 6 instead of normally having it at 3.

If you have trouble with the spiders, hitting them with star bits makes them completely harmless for a while...
The Toads act like they know there are two Luigis.
"Hey, Luigi! You saved us!"
"We got lost with Luigi..."
Thanks for filling my request.
Evi1Hunter4 3 years ago

Evi1Hunter4 3 years ago
They do? I thought they make the swinging spiders swing even more.
Or, of course, the Toads could just lke to refer to Luigi in the third person.
Overhazard 3 years ago
if you hit them a second time while spinning, they die.
ninterror 3 years ago
Ineresting to know. I rarely shoot Star Bits since I want to work up to 9999 and get the watermelons.
Overhazard 3 years ago
I can't do this one on Daredevil. Way too hard me.
Hydropoleon 3 years ago
The trick is get in close like Overhazard does. It becomes much easier to avoid his attacks and it becomes much easier to swing bomb boos at him.
