So cool, may I ask what material is holding the triangles together, allowing them to expand in the model? I have watched so many times and just can't figure it out, rubber maybe?
@sumkinduvmalice You may, but it is a fucking silly question and you will never get a real answer. Perhaps that is why you asked your question. Perhaps you should lecture architecture. This model and animation is completely shit in my opinion, by the way. It is shit in concept, explanation and execution. I model more complex forms on a daily basis and I honestly think I am on the bottom rung of the ladder in terms of the understanding of forms.
I want to know how did you get the up and down movement? Thanks in advance.

I looked at some of your other work on your website. Excellent. Impressive models, graphic constructs, and rigorous process.
I've just started to play around with Arduino. So cool.

Where did you do your undergraduate studies?

Arigato!
My underground study was in Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. I never used computer in that school.
Good luck for your Arduino life.

Thanks for the comments. I made it with 9 servo motor pistons. Scale is 1:200.

This is very cool. Did you use linear actuators to achieve the elevation? What is the scale of the model?
