You need to account for proper port area. At a minimum you need 15 square inches of port per cube, then you calculate tuning by the length of the port. You probley only have like 5^2 of port on this box...Im not hating, but you need a new box. I used to have 2 CVRs on a Fosgate 800a2, and it was pretty loud for what it was

sealed means that the sub is only moving the air that the front of the cone is exposed to and you get less volume, but you don't get any resonance.

ported means that both the front and back sides of the cone are moving the air meaning more volume. however, sometimes a ported sub can have more resonance in it because of the sound bouncing around inside
