@novanine9 It means you have an older version. It was put in, in the latest version. Though I don't see the reason why, as the ARP already has so many ways of controlling the gain.
@novanine9 No presets - I think mr ray and the amp sim were using default settings. I set up the TimewARP sound myself. Just getting the signal path set up and then twiddling with stuff. Have fun!
@novanine9 You have to patch it up, so that the external input (the audio from the other instrument) successfully makes it's way through the signal path of the TimewARP. I'd suggest starting by looking at the Factory/Guitar Effects/ presets that come with the synth. All the presets in that bank should allow you to process external audio.
Thanks for watching! I usually just patch things up from scratch, so I haven't gathered a lot of presets for this synth. Just plug your sound source (oscillators or external in) through the filter then the amplifier, and plug in other oscillators to modulate the filter and amplifier. Fiddle around with the sliders and you'll certainly get some funky sounds! YouTube user AutomaticGainsay has some great ARP 2600 tutorials. Have fun!
I'm trying out the free download but I get static when I hit the keyboard. I still get good sound when I hit the keyboard but always get static with it.
Glad you sorted it out! I'm using a technics P30 as a controller - it does have a good response - I could never get unweighted controllers to work for me...
You know 20 minutes after I sent that message I figured out what I'd messed up, I had the filter closed all the way down. Yeah, stupid, lol. Thanks for the reply. Timewarp is indeed a beast, some of the most amazing stuff comes out of it. Btw what controller 'r u using, I can see it's working very nicely with the piano vel curve, not too aggressive, not too soft.
Thanks for the comments! It is an awesome beast, the TimewARP2600.
KiopGenJin - I am using just those 3. I'm not sure why it's not working for you - make sure you're using the 'fx' version of the plugin, and that you're sending 100% of the signal through it. I could send you the patch maybe?
man this some really inspiring stuff I'ma get it (timewARP) now just for the filters

my version of TimArp 2600 does not have the main volume slider at the bottom right...
Could this be the reason why I am having a hard time using it as an efx?

@joomzb - THANKS!
I've got the same plugins but cannot seem to make the TimeArp efx work in my Fl Studio, for some reason.
I simply cannot make the effect work with Mr Ray or any other instrument.
Is this being processed in real time?
Do you have to do anything special or push any buttons on the TimArp, once you pull it up in your daw as a preset?
Thanks again

joomzb I've got the same setup going and it sounds nowhere near as magic vintage.
The TimewARP2600 patch doesn't do anything on my setup. Are you using anything else aside from those 3?
