  • i m abt 10years wth DifferentBI Tools --Src.Srver(10Mn) - Tranform(8Mn)---Our Srv(8Mn) ----ELT(Src.Srvr) (10mn) ---OurSrvr(10)- thn Tranformation(8Mn) -our srv 8mn Data---in either way aproach getting data into ourDBSrvr is commom how ever luk at the best of elimination whch is not reqred for your server - presume there are 10 tables of 10Mn data in production - aprx 20Mn can be elimited out of 100mn during th extr...and Transformation process does takesplace in our servr as Domain local to us

  • Hi I strong disagree with Mr. Arvind Kumar, as you say ELT is advantagious thn ETL intems f pushing up the volume of data. I would say if you have huge volume of data...say 10mn . data .. out of which proably 2mn can b eliminated throug transformation does this make any sense to go for ELT, becos in ELT u extract complet 10Mn in to our Server and then you are eliminating 2Mn. data...i dont thnk see that can a good aproach though it does has 2 serer: either ETL / ELT having 2 servers are common
