  • Looks like you reacted hydrogen peroxide with potassium iodide and soap.

  • can u tell me what are the ingredients?

  • the quality could be better

  • The secret ingredient is activated yeast and water.

  • it is potassium iodide along with hydrogen peroxide. the catalsyt. potassium iodide removes the hydrogen from the hydrogen peroxide and the foam is caused by the soap. so the soap contains hydrogen.

  • the other thing that caused the reaction was potassium bromide, potassium iodide, or any other catlyst

  • which would be more reactive, potassium iodide or sodium iodide?

  • Elephant toothpaste! :D

  • what is the something else ?

  • potassium iodide

  • aaaw I wish we did experiments in our school :(

  • what did you use in this experiment?

  • We never did this. All of our experiments were so shitty lol. BTW this vid has a lot of views o.o

  • thats what happens when i see that girl on the right XD, lol sike naw

  • @mchyker I think thats the teacher haha.

  • YAY

  • Peroxide is deadly as well.

  • deadly is kinda too big word for peroxide, it ain't that deadly..

  • cool.... bad graffics though.... next time use a better camera nd you'll probably get much better comments

  • the next time you should put the cylinders closer. it will look like a big marshmallow made of two different tastes :P

  • CAN U EAT IT?

  • sure, y not

  • NOO !!

  • No peroxide will make you very sick if you drink it and soap is a bad thing to eat food coloring wont do anything and i dont know what happens if you eat potassium iodine

  • Yes, I think you should actually.

Do the gene pool a favor.

  • they used potassium iodide i guess

  • (\__/)

    (='.'=)

  • Shhhhhweeet lol awsome

  • why do i posta comment?

  • the foam looks like two seals or something......wtf?

  • ya it does

  • it looks like micheal jakson lol

  • cud u plz explain wat happened? cuz i didnt understand rly well

  • in my not so expert opinion, what probaly happened is an accelerated version of what makes bread rise. In the reaction there is a great amount of gas released when the liquid becomes a solid, but due to the reaction rate (possibly influenced by a catalyst) The gas is trapped inside the solid, making what appears to be a gigantic marshmallow or pillow-like substance

  • What does that have to do with yeast releasing gas that makes bread rise?

  • maybe the gas bubbles up the liquid?

  • we did this in class, and we used sodium iodide. the effect was the same, but to a lesser extent.

  • hydrogen peroxide + liquid soap + potassium iodide = a good time haha

  • nice

  • what is the other thing?

  • prolly just KMnO4, Potassium permanganate. its fairly save and reacts nicely for classes. just dont dump KMnO4 down the sink pure, its a strong oxidant and will eat the pipes. lol

  • That teacher has a bid booty...

  • What's the other something that cause this reaction?
