  • Ur almost right but soaking it in hot water is horrible cus it increases the blood flow making it last longer

Generally u will want ice and it will both numb the pain and stop it

  • The Lionfish is venomous (not poisonous) and it certainly does NOT "cause(s) humans to drop unconcious". The sting of a Lionfish (which only happens if you impale youself on one of the spines) causes local pain and some swelling, usually lasting for a few hours at most. Soaking the affected part in hot water is all the treatment usually required.

  • i wish i was able to move like the fish does but in air...

  • lion fish looks more like a fluffy spider

  • did u finish the job for the other fish by killing the lion fish

  • This is more of a heated underwater argument about healthcare than an attack.

  • thats not a lion fish

  • i think that fish is a grouper. the lionfish was in its territory so the grouper was shooing it away.

  • thats a peacock grouper

  • "a poisonous fish that causes humans to drop unconscious in case of skin contact."

    *facepalm*

Would love to know where you cited that from.

  • "Hi, my name is Eddie. I got free cocaine you want some?"

  • Lion fish: come attack me over my spearsssss Fish: oh.. Fuck that

  • Thats a small grouper...

  • how much does that camera cost?? i bet it was expensive XD

  • lionfish do not cause humans to drop unconscious when stung, they do give you a nasty sting. also they are venomous not poisonous.

  • Lionfish are so cool there like chuck norris if he was a fish xD

  • lion fish is so cut3 when so small :D

lion fish: hy dude can i check out ur new pocket

    other fish:sure

lion fish: i take that too sol on!

other fish: Hey dude u stole ma wallet

police fish: mr chillie suit gimme dat

lion fish: neva taste that bi***

  • Grouper says, "get the fuck up out my reef mutha fucka!"

  • I hate them, they have came over here to Puerto Rico destroying our reefs and eating the fishes of the reefs, and they dont have depredators over here >:( , the only species that can stop this fish is ourselfs , diving and capturing them , and they are invading our beaches and in Puerto Rico there are not enough divers ggrrr!>:(

  • @SpicyEVG their down here in cayman also..we usually have tournaments and stuff to try to catch them and start seeing if restuarants down here would want to serve up some lionfish

  • How we compeer lionfish between male and female?

  • Groupers are dumb, many have been found dead with lionfish in their stomachs. This behaviour here was more about territory though.

  • thats a grouper whats wrong with you guys

  • jewfish haha

  • go jewfish go!

  • right...

in which part is it actually attacking?

  • ive been stung by a lionfish and its not like a bee sting. the pain is more severe and lasts waay longer. its much worse then a bee sting. trust me i know

  • i think the other fish thinks the lion fish is a crab..

  • I guess its a meeting?

Maybe they are making a plan to escape and eat you.

    Or, is it the bagel?

  • its just a playful grouper trying out new games

  • @dragonnetx hes probly being territorial

  • lol that was a miniatus grouper. I have a vid of one in my reef tank.

  • fight of the year...

  • where was that

  • i have a lionfish what should i name him :P cause all the other fishes i had died without a name

  • boris

  • mufasa

  • It can kill a man if a man is allergic to a sting. But if not, its just like bee sting.

  • No, lionfish can kill with a sting.

  • th@t b!tct# stole my wallet

  • i think thats called being curious

  • A lionfish causing people to drop unconcious? No. Maybe if you were severely allergic to bee stings and similiar venoms it could do some damage.

  • I did read somewhere that groupers are the only fish that will try and eat the lions. I think those big-ass groupers (sorry dont even know common name) are the ones that are doing it. Unfortunatley I dont think they live in the atlantic, hence the lionfish population explosion.

  • big ass grouper? like the jewfish? they live in the atlantic

  • yeah i read into it and your right, they do live in the atlantic aswell. but maybe the ones in the pacific have a special anti venom or can handle the venom of their stings? Dont know. All I know is their really invasive in the Caribean because they have no natural predators, and other smaller fish dont recognize them as predators either. Apparently they taste good though haha theres some video of people eating them. maybe a new niche market?

  • if i see any im shootin them. i live in NC and theyve been spotted in Hatteras and im goin to florida this summer so watch out lionfish cause im bringin the cressi comanche to ya

  • seriously eat one, they taste like sea chicken from what ive heard. All u gotta do to neturalize the venom is to pour really hot or prefrebly boiling water over the spines, chop off the fins and then just grill it over the bbq.

  • yeah i saw that on another vid

  • Lionfish aren't that venemous. There are no known deaths from lion fish, and only in extremely rare cases do you loose conciousness (if you're alergic to bee stings for example). In most cases its just the severe pain which only lasts a few hours. Trust me, i've worked with thousands of them over the years.

  • Oh ok, I got one letter wrong due to my dyslexia which means I have never worked with lionfish. If you would like I can email you some of the presentations I have done on Invasive Lionfish in the Atlantic for my degree in Aquatic Zoology? Oh also I'll be uploading a video of myself working with lionfish in the next day.

    K?

  • no no, i was just giving you a hard time. That actually is quite interesting. Invasive though? I would like to hear more.

  • It looks like a grouper chasing him away so he doesn't have any competition for his prey.

  • wat a dum fish

  • how old was the lionfish when you took this video?

that fish that is harrassing the lion fish looks like a coral beauty, but judging by the look of the lion it seems so much larger than it (lion).

If its a relatively young lion it could very easily be a coral beauty (angelfish family) and they are aggressive towards anything smaller than them or the same size....they are known to be a PIA to many reefkeepers.

  • sorry, but how would i know how old the lionfish was? its the ocean.

  • Oh, thats in the actual ocean?

Usually you can judge by the size of it, I wouldn't know specifically though.

  • @Monuschaaf he thought it was UR fish, dont be such a douche

  • @00vampirate00 It's obvious that the videographer was diving. How could it be his fish.

  • @Monuschaaf Well obviously you would ask it dumbass!!!

    JK

What a random thing to expect a person to know. :0

  • @Monuschaaf LOLOLOL foreall

  • @phillieredphil It was definatly not an angel fish. More like a coral grouper. The grouper is most likely defending its hunting grounds. and not CB angels ar not as aggresive as portrade, I have kept one with little gobies to large lionfish. Plus you can see how much larger it is than those anthias.

  • @phillieredphil It's a Coney dipshit. Stop sounding like you know what you're talking about. It's a Coney in the color phase brown with blue spots. People like you who think they know shit piss me off. Secondly, asking the age of the lionfish just clarifies you're a complete moron.

But yeah, Coney meddling with a Lionfish.

  • @phillieredphil Dude you're crazy, while the colors may be similar to a coral angelfish that is most certainly the body of some kind of grouper.

  • kinda looks like some type of wrasse....great footage :)

  • only the spines r pooisonoius

  • ummm..... and the fite is were??

  • "..a poisonous fish that causes humans to drop unconscious in case of skin contact."

Yeah, right. About as poisonous as a wasp sting. pour some hot water on the sting and you'll be fine.

    Cool vid -- bad description.

  • are you an idiot??.. lion fish are extremely venemous.. if you think not then touch one, dumbass because you will be fucked up depending on what type it was

  • kinda looks like a lion vs. a grouper?

  • "I'm not touching you!!!!" ;)

  • LoL they are not fighting at all!

  • wow uhh exciting...

  • lion fish looks like a walking fortress

  • Since when can lion fish walk

  • since when did you have a dick. fag ass its called sarcasm

  • that was also sarcasm I know u wer being sarcastic dumbas

  • @MasterElmo Correction. Leafy Seadragons and Ghost pipefish look like a forest! Lion fish's look like ancient aircrafts xD

  • @MasterElmo lol

  • @MasterElmo Lol a swimming walking fortress.

  • Is that your personal Aquarium? Beautiful fish In nice condition..

And they don't have enemies, There spines are venomous

  • does a lionfish has natural enemies exept humans?

  • CRUISE MISSILES. LOOL!!!!!!

  • hahaha that is awsome reply by uploader

  • Were you expecting crazy underwater action including cruise missiles being launched by the lionfish?

  • haha :D

but it wasn't really a physical attack. More like a psychological attack. :D

  • Waiting....waiting...nothing..... :/
