After completing AC:Revelations I came back to watch the AC:II ending, it makes soo much more sense now! That was one of the temples holding the knowledge to save the world at the end of 2012, they found another at the end of Revelations, all the temples contain different methods of saving the world. The Pieces of Eden are the keys to opening the temples!! The Templars don't know of the warning by the First Civilisation that the world is in peril and want the Pieces of Eden purely for power.
I love the entire story of Assassin's Creed but ACII is by far my favorite. Watching Ezio going up from a young naive kid to a Master Assassin and the soundtrack was just pure nostalgic.

Cuz if it is, 1, it's missing the hidden gun. 2, I just noticed, in the opening cinematic for Revelations, the E3 trailer, it shows that Ezio loses his LEFT blade. But then in the game, Ezio loses his RIGHT blade(the blades are different, no he doesn't switch them), that's why he gets the hook blade. So the hidden blade Desmond gets at 6:30 is inaccurate and should not even exist at the time if it is Ezio's.

It was quite a deep ending. At one point I actually thought aliens were trying to communicate to me through the medium of Assassins Creed. I told my girlfriend but after seeing her roll around the floor in a fit of uncontrollable laughter I realised she just didn't understand.
I keep writing this on the Wiki page and someone keeps deleting it;You can hear her say "You anger him but please be silent"; she KNOWS Desmond is watching and getting annoyed with Ezio's interruptions!

@wisewarriormuzic The older The Sun gets,on average there's less intensety of a solar flare..But it doesn't neceserly mean that there can't be a big one..If one is fired big enaugh to destroy our Ozon lair we will die and there will be nothing we can do about it..other than to run in a spaceship somewhere on mars or whatever and eventully go extinct even tha last of us.The power of The Sun is something we can do nothing about.

It was quite a deep ending. At one point I actually thought aliens were trying to communicate to me through the medium of Assassins Creed. I told my girlfriend but after seeing her roll around the floor in a fit of uncontrollable laughter I realised she just didn't understand.
