@nitevision92 I have a few other projects, magazine articles and videos, to complete, but I'll see what I can do. If you wish to see some work with the Subcom fixed blade, as well as the RNR and Edit, check out the Magazine Articles and Photos section of the Albo Kali Silat website. There are quite a few "action photos" there from the "Small Blades for Self-Defense" article I did for the Russian knife magazine, Prorez.
Very nice video, thank you for posting this. I trained in Kali and was just notified that this knife was available on sale but I didn't know its capability! This video certainly is showing its value and your skill!
I would love to take some kind of knife combat class. For now I practice to the instruction of your videos. I know there are many others like me who appreciate them.
I am glad that you like the videos and find some value to them. I do recommend personal instruction versus video instruction if at all possible. A video cannot see how you are moving and correct mistakes, while a competent instructor will see and correct errors and really help you develop new skills. A good instructor will also develop inshight into what best fits you and tailor the lessons to your personal needs. Videos have to be pretty generic.
I work and train with Spyderco, Emerson, custom knives, and other knives. I use and test various Bokers, primarily those that are designed by Chad Los Banos. I don't have a 101 and the handle does not appeal to me, so the odds are I will not be getting one. Sorry.
"won't make much difference in the real world"
It's refreshing hearing such logic in videos like this, not as common as you would think. Cool video and cool knife!
