The 5.1 mix from the In Transit DVD? Well, you have to assume that the CD audio is the final audio the band want released. Personally I actually like how the HH's sound. Iirc there are a few Chris Liebing and Terence Fixmer tracks that have a very similar effect with the dragged timing.

I've noticed the 3/4 timing is way off on the meat in parts. Not slagging Covenant, no way. But maybe they didn't know how to put together a 3/4 beat? Anyhow I'll be putting together a remix, kind of an arrange version with a corrected beat. Hope you guys look forward to seeing it. =]

@darkazesim Odd, but not off. Given they've put a straight 4/4 beat to a triplet bassline I'd say it still make it 4/4 song rather than 3/4. Granted, a triplet ride would have made a tad more easy on the ears :)

@darkazesim I'm pretty sure it's purposeful and stylistic. I've heard a lot of techno tracks that have a very dragged hi-hat that almost sounds out of time. It gives the impression the track is almost falling apart, which actually makes for quite an interesting sound.

@echoxxxx I actually found something out. On a 5.1 system, the hats are sidechained. Idk why it won't come out in stereo. But it sound beautiful in 5.1... I can't remix this, it'd be a dishonor to Covenant. @.@

find ich auch, klar, ich Liebe DM, aber desshalb habe ich trotzdem höre ich bei Covenant einen anderen Stil heraus - man erinnere sich an Songs wie ; Call the Ships to Port" - SO haben sich DM nie angehört - sorry, es ist 4.00 uhr morgens, bin sehr müde, aber das ist meine Ureigene, persönliche Meinung...Beide Bands sind Wahnsinn, aber jede steht für sich !!!

DM waren gut, ok...aber sie haben nicht für immer und ewig den Synthie-Thron gepachtet!!

Seltsam: alle Songs, die auf elektronischen Klängen aufgebaut sind, werden mit DM verglichen...lächerlich!

I'll defend ya...they gave you a thumbs down...the first time i've heard about them was on Project Gothem Racing 3 known as PGR3. And i was like I must have this CD. And ever since I already bought United States of Mind, Europa, Nothern Lights, and also Skyshaper. But in U.S. Skyshaper was the only one available. So I had to order these albums in the BORDERS book store and luckly I got Europa for free. :)
