  • EPIC!!!

  • Holy Page he kicks the other legends arses... 1:43 was like.... :O

  • What a great jam...I love You Tube

  • It's all about songwriting and inspiration. Anybody can play clean and note for note if he practices enough. Love Jimmy for the good performances and the bad.

  • VERY POOR CAMERA WORK HERE. NEVER FOCUSED ON THE SOLOIST.

  • There is no leader here. No body is trying out out do anyone.

  • Jimmy shows he's the leader

  • Kudos to Page for being strung out then, cos the song would've totally sucked without him,Clapton never adjusted his microphone and Beck dropped his guitar pick during this song.Although somehow it all worked out!

  • page 's solo is psychotic ragged and beautiful . adds some craziness to a pretty square tune

  • Haisey Jimmy Page was never inspired by the Beatles nor would ever try to copy the Beatles music! He simply said they made some nice statements.Jimmy Page is the best!!!!!But George is (something)also!

  • CLAPTON..trading licks with..BECK..trading licks with ..PAGE..EPIC!!!

  • Just a bunch of people doing what they enjoy most, and making us happy at the same time. Life is that simple.

  • jimmy page is THE ROCK on that stage!! What a man!

  • Jimmy's putting a lot more effort into his playing than the others and he doesn't around like a statue. He's having a good time playing and the audience can feel it.

  • 1:40 Jimmy's way of saying KNOW YOUR PLACE GUYS

  • Gee. I think this is the one - best ever! I wish it was recorded in a much better quality. But still, it is magnificent. It is "Tulsa time"!

  • u can tell just by listening. they r really enjoying themselves

  • Jimmy's solo was like a shot of adrenalin. The Jimmy haters are obsessed with playing every fucking note with a sterlized and manicured finger. There are thousands of players who can play ultra-clean. Someone like Jimmy with real feel is a lot more seldom encountered.

  • @Reggie1971 The problem with page is not hes unclean style. Its his 'not-going-nowhere' shapes. He doenst have idea of what is a guitar phrase, he just plays randomly and SOMETIMES he gots some cool parts, but most of the time he just gots a very inestable playing where you can't here a clue of what hes trying to say.

  • @gre1990 what??!!you must be an idiot-"he doesnt have idea of whats a guitar phrase?"I catch hell for criticizing Page occasionally-but usually its cos he dresses funny-or he stole a bunch of stuff and didnt credit anyone, and I'm still trying to find out WHERE he stole the "Rain Song" from-they stole so much- but I have rarely heard an assinine comment such as this-he was on 60to 80% of all studio recordings in london for the whole 60's!how can he not know what a "Guitar Phrase "is-PLEASE!!!!

  • @TheEDZEPPELINBAND

The Rain Song is not so much stolen as inspired by George Harrison and the Beatles -- listen to their song "Something" from Abbey Road

  • @gre1990 Its funny you call that a problem when I would call it a plus. I allways used to say Clapton was a "safe" guitar player and Beck was to concerned with getting it 100% right.

If page pulled off 70% of what he was trying to do, it would still sound better than both Clapton and Beck. Sorry but Page was all heart.

  • @Reggie1971 that is one of the best comments about jimmy i have heard im pissed aff with these frealks who think he cant play it not what you play it is what you write that counts the rain song i mean that is a fucking masterpeice half these so called great guitar players have never being able to write like that

  • @Reggie1971 well said! i agree 110 percent!

  • @Reggie1971 it also sounds like that cause this is probably a soundboard recording, and thus levels can be all over the place.. gotta love Jimmy tho.

  • @Reggie1971 You are absolutely CORRECT. Jimmy Page knows how to get that tone ooozing out of the wood. Keeps the effects transparent and you can hear that WOOD.

  • What a great Don Williams tune.

  • @GovVance It's a Danny Flowers tune.Williams covered it.

  • che tossico jimmy...

  • Fuck! Such a "backline" on that stage. ¡Charlie looks like Cristopher Lee as Dracula!

  • sorry EC don williams you aint

  • Was Rod Stewart part of this concert?

  • Il cameraman ha deciso di boicottare Pagey...

  • page goes crazy with the B Bender tele..

  • 3 nature's force

  • 3 great guitarist......doing great solo's...........mustuv' been heaven that night!!

  • Andy Fairweather Low is in there too, LEGEND!

  • Are we watching the same video? Page looked, and sounded, like he had a score to settle; who's the best guitarist? His solos did nothing to serve the song, just manic showing off. And Im a big fan of Jimmy!!!!

  • jeff beck can turn any chord on its head and still make it sound good.

ha! all these guys from across the pond singin about tiny little tulsa....gotta love it

  • @kj1z Clapton lived in Tulsa for a while... (Leon Russell, James Oldaker...)

  • @57mab ??? It's a Don William's song...

  • @wildcatter63 i just said he hung out w/ those guys, not that they wrote the tune. ;).

  • Clapton rules!

  • Jimmy rulez!

  • Did Jimmy Page sleep with TruthAxe's girl? I think so...

  • Every time Jimmy Page takes a solo, I just smile and laugh out of sheer happiness. He's so awesome, random, innovative, competitive and killer, all at the same time.

  • jimmy page is GOD.

  • You know there's a bit of competition going on. This is all class.

  • THis one of the most 'coherent' and nice sounding jams I've seen for so many instruments. Usually when starstudded jams happen it is a big like grandstanding and diminishes into a mush. but this...let me ask, could it be that at heart they was having a rockin' hoedown? cuz they rocked dat juke joint like a country barrel house. And Clapton looks so happy, nice post!

  • Turn the Dolby off on this recording, please.. It's muffling the sound way too much. I prefer the tape noise. God Dolby and rock and roll don't mix. Thxs.

  • I love when Page comes in to tear it up. He just screams above the rest.

  • Bill Wyman is cool as hell.

  • It's great to see such great musicians all together and from England too. As I readily identify with these guys being of the same age group and being brought up in England in the 60's when they pretty well all started out, there was a real feeling of excitement in the music scene then. Good to see Andy Feather Low and Steve Winwood in the line up too. Long may it continue.

  • Page is clearly out of his mind on "H". He never could stay with Beck or Clapton chop for chop, much less all f***ed up.

  • Thank you for the information on the Rosewood Guitar.

Many People have Rosewood Telecasters They are bucks $5000.00 I think.

  • @TL250Rider I BUY one telecaster because this concert! yeha! :D the sound is aWEsomE!

  • I think the camera doesn't like Page at all, there's not even a good shot on him,

the guy at the mandolin that you can barrely hear had more, that sucks because he's so present....

    Anyway thanks capsel31 wonderfull song!

  • @moustikdu91 That guy is Steve Winwood - an amazing and under-rated musician.

  • @hrothgleas: I didn't even recognised him, but it doesn't change the fact that Page doesn't even get one clear shot...

Andyou still can't hear the mandolin...

  • Check out Jimmy Page's Rosewood Fender Telecaster. Leo Fender would be proud. So would CBS

    Great listing

  • @TL250Rider That guitar is NOT solid rosewood. You're getting Page's Tele confused with George Harrison's solid rosewood telecaster, seen in the Get Back video. Jimmy's tele is painted, you don't paint rosewood (unless you're stupid).

Page's Telecaster does have something that makes it unique, other than Page being its owner. It has a custom installed B-Bender, which you see Page use a lot (anytime he 'pulls' on the upper part of the guitar strap, that's him bending notes with the b-bender).

  • Fuck You TruthAxe,The (truth) is Page is way better than the other two. You Fucking IDIOT!

  • Page is a great guitarist

but this is one bad performance

he looses his cool a bit when next to the reputation that is eric

never mind throwing in jeff beck aswell!

    then theres the drugs

  • you guys don't know shit..

    these guys are legends..

    and that's the bottom line..

you guys just know how to talk shit bout people.

take a look at yourself in the mirror.

can you achieve what they had achieved??

    fuck off bitches..

  • Page overplays to mask the truth that he's a hack compared to Beck and Clapton.

What an embarrassment Page is to himself on stage here.

  • What a bunch of BS you are spewing here. Clearly you just hate Page. There is no reason to bash him here even though I have seen many examples of him bombing on stage. Not here. Give the man some credit though when he is clearly tearing the other two a new arse hole.

  • BS?

Anyone watching this video can see and hear for himself or herself how badly a nervous, shaky Page overplays compared to a cool, calm, confident Jeff Beck or Eric Clapton.

Page is so bad that he needs effects to mask his sloppy playing.

After Page shows he can't play, Clapton looks to Beck (@2:00) with a smirk.

  • You are a funny little guys aren't you. I've seen you on other Zep sites dissing Page. Clearly this is for your own amusement. That being said, this is obviously the lowest point in Page's career. His Rock n Roll excess in the late 70's greatly effected his playing. Still, in THIS particular video he rips it up. Yes his tone is heavier, but he is a heavier guitarist than the other 2 anyway, and it spices up what is an otherwise dull performance by Clapton and Beck.

  • Page "rips it up"?

Masking horrible play with sound effects hardly qualifies as ripping it up.

Clapton, Beck and Page -- all have been overhyped.

Stevie Ray Vaughn showed the world that Clapton faked his way as a "blues guitarist".

Beck? I wouldn't let him fix my car.

Yet, Page is the most overhyped guitarist in rock history.

And Page is a song thief! Luckily, courts exist which forced Page the hack to make good on his song stealing.

  • while Vaughan is definitely a good blues player, so is Clapton in every sense, great vibe, great articulation, just a good player. Not much of a Beck fan myself, but he's a good player. And Page? A good electric player, and a much better acoustic player, i don't think your qualified to say which guitarist are "overhyped," you seem to lack some knowledge of the instrument or something, just something

  • You amuse, jimmypage4ever.

Your nerdy idol worship as expressed by your Youtube screen name says all the rest of us need to know about you.

Page faked playing acoustic even more than his fake electric playing.

At long last Bert Jansch received the money and arrangement writing credit he deserved for Black Side Mountain, which Page stole.

Keep amusing, jimmypage4ever nerd. Oh how you amuse.

  • Comment removed

  • You amuse, jimmypage4ever, again!

Look at you go! You've become unhinged, enraged over mere words about your nerdy childhood guitar idol, Jimmy Page.

Anyone accomplished on guitar knows what a thoroughgoing hack Jimmy Page is.

Perhaps that's why you still worship him. You never learned to play properly and aren't accomplished.

    LMFAO

  • Oh how you amuse, jimmypage4ever.

And now we get to the good stuff!

Your subconscious betrays you and reveals to the world your deep-seated homoerotic fantasies as your of dream of man-on-man porn escapes onto your YT comments.

    You don't disappoint, jimmypage4ever.

    Oh how you amuse.

  • Comment removed

  • You amuse even more, jimmypage4ever.

Keep dancing on the strings as I pull them, heaving you to and fro, puppet.

What's it like having posters of Jimmy Page on your bedroom wall, the bedroom in your mommy and daddy's house as you prance about oh so dandy playing air guitar to one boring song after another played by hack Jimmy Page?

    LMFAO

  • Comment removed

  • You amuse, jimmypage4ever.

Each post you make does not disappoint! Ah, it's much fun to pull the strings and see puppets like you dance.

Because you can't play guitar well enough or even at all to know that Page is a hack, a fake, is not the problem for the rest of us.

In the style of song played here, even Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen blows Page right off the stage.

Hard core Page/Led Zeppelin fans have tin ears.

  • lol I'm serious, cut that "you amuse me" shit out, I'm over here laughing my ass off at how truly pathetic you are, you lack the knowledge to provide a truly significant argument and seemingly realize this so you try and get me to dance in some little circles in an effort to keep your self from looking like a fool. but with each new comment the boundaries of your stupidity are pushed even further, I'm done arguing with you, thanks for the entertainment though

  • Oh how you amuse, jimmypage4ever.

Look at you go! Your cognitive dissonance pushes you to defend your false beliefs.

You know that Page is a hack. Yet you cannot bring yourself to acknowledge this publicly.

In time, perhaps, if you practice a bit more, you can develop enough of an ear and fluidity upon the guitar to know how bad Page is.

In the meantime, that you parrot me with the "entertainment" concept as a replacement, well, amuses.

    LMFAO

  • Comment removed

  • How you amuse, jimmypage4ever.

You can quit still before you fall behind further, although, I know you cannot resist defending your boyhood idol, who is really your dad's boyhood idol.

You listen old folks music. LMFAO

  • Comment removed

  • You never stop amusing jimmypage4ever!

First, google 'ad hominem', for that's all you've been doing.

You have yet to put forth a cogent argument about this video.

My original post here pertained to this hack performance.

Second, go learn how to play guitar. You're a Skwisgaar Skwigelf wannabe.

You should strive to get the basics down and the feel before sounding like a retard.

Third, lose some weight. A boy of your age should be fit. You look like a schlub, a weakling.

  • dude get a life and stfu

  • @TruthAxe honestly, is this your hobby or something? watching jimmy page videos and then badmouth him? LOADS of good rock guitarists have said that jimmy ruled and he had a great influence on fucking everybody!! NOBODY denies that, except for some jackasses that can't accept his genius. so, get lost and stop bothering people

  • You amuse, JVoH4god.

What are you, a meddler who has come to save the day of YTers everywhere? Are you wearing a superzero cape? LMFAO

Page inspired many, perhaps. Yet, you cannot hear influence of Page in any recording. No one would be that stupid to play crap.

    Page, a genius? LMFAO

Try The Ventures. Those guys were doing in '62 what Page copied 7 years later.

  • @TruthAxe well thanks I do seem to have a comic talent indeed. or is that just your crappy sense of humour, 'cos you seem to be amused by anything and anybody here ?!

couldn't it be that you din't hear influence because page just can't be copied? he's unique, that's why

just continue laughing as long as you don't do it here

  • You amuse, JVoH4god. Again!

Now we see your deluded nature that you believe, falsely, of course, that you can tell others where they can and cannot comment on videos. LMFAO

How can Page be "unique" if he copied the playing of others who came from him years before, like The Ventures?

  • @TruthAxe didn't try to tell you anything. just hoped you had some sense. lamentably not. you'd better not talk about "we", though, 'cos judging by other answers to your comments YOU'RE the one annoying people! wish you a nice rest of your poor life!

  • You amuse, JVoH4god.

You wrote, "just continue laughing as long as you don't do it here ". That sure reads like telling. Perhaps you don't understand English in the same way that you don't understand rock music.

No doubt you'll enjoy your NO LIFE right to your grave.

If you're so willing to accept a hack Page, you must gobble up any shit someone serves you.

  • @JVoH4god

Dont be botherd by truthaxe, ive read his comments all over you tube, their all about jimmy page

TRUTH IS, jimmy banged his girl while on tour (seriously) ,ive read it several times/

SO he hits every video to bad mouth jimmy page,

he uses a few different names/but mainly if some1s doggin MR page its him

he is justa heartbroken puppydog ,he should just suck it up & NOT BE SO IN LOVE, thats just how women are around gutair heros

BUT POOR BABY IS SO IN LOVE , ha ha ha ha

  • @z1inspector I know, I've read them too ^^

  • @TruthAxe what are you saing?? Jimmy created all his songs, he was inspired by the ventures and other, it's a normal thing for a boy who lived with music, but he is another thing! he is absolutely a genius!! none made like him!!

  • Comment removed

  • @MG94707 yes he sreds

  • @MG94707

yup & page hadnt played live in years ,he enjoyed playin live & used the effects to throw some originality to it. som1 needs to ask TRUTHAXE when he kisses his old lady HOW JIMMY PAGE TASTES

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

  • Is that Kenney Jones on drums along with Charlie Watts? Love the 3 guitar greats going at it...'tho Clapton & Page are not very healthy here. At least they survived when so many didn't make it

  • great personalities, after beck last 16 bars of finger picking triplets, Page try to emulate that with the pick, unable to acomplish on time and grovee, anyway hes A MASTER!

  • i don't know what part your referring to, Becks second or first go around?

  • omg! lottsa superstars. kenny, jimmy, bill, charlie, eric

  • LOL @ 4:02, Wyman's cigarette

  • I love Pages style . some real masters onstage here

  • was that quentin terentino on drums at the beginning??? lol

  • Dude! If that ain't him it must be his evil twin!!!

    Livin' on Tulsa time!

  • hey charlie !!!!!!!!

  • seems the sound crew mistaken clapton for paul simon 0.o

  • page beck and clapton should start a band together

  • man, jimmy play at the royal albert hall very great and clean

  • Who would play guitar?

  • jimmy ,who else !!

  • Better yet' - let's bring Duanne Allman back from the dead and show them all what slide is all about.

  • Obviously youve never watched in my time of dying from Earls court

  • this is a superband!

  • Dude, Jimmy totally tore the fuck out of his solos. If I were Eric or Jeff I'd feel upstaged.

  • clapton's slide was good, but if they had derek trucks here to do the slide stuff, that would've been cool. but i think he was 4 when this concert happened...

  • Brilliant !

    Specially I enjoy 2:25.

  • Stairway to dissipation

  • grew up with cream led zep sabbath blue cheer savoy brown foghat ten years after mountain stones beatles traffic johnny winter chambers bros allmans blues magoos dc5 mc5 stooges the who kinks spooky tooth hendrix some i still like others i dont

  • Is Clapton playing the 1956 sunburst Stratocaster that became known as the "world's most expensive guitar" when it sold for $450,000 on June 24, 1999?

  • 59 and 58 Jimmy Page´s Les Pauls Guitars and EDS Double neck , are the most expansive value guitars estimate today... milion and milion dolars.

  • Yeah, that's Brownie. I think this is the only song he performed with it during ARMS

  • He alson did Chopin's "Prelude" on "brownie" too.

  • ive got a boot of this..if u want it pm me

Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck & Eric Clapton - The Night of the Kings

  • Good to see Clapton with brownie!

  • Jimmy looks great here....

    Just getting off of "H"...

take a walk in his shoes!!!!!!!!

Beck and Clapton just jealous of him.because he is the COOLEST GUITARIST.

  • why did everyone start refering to heroin as "H"?Is there something behind that or what?

  • less typing /lol

  • page didnt get clean till 84 85

  • page still looks high here, but hes my favorite!

  • I feel like it took Page a long time to recover, he was horrible all throughout the '80s and didn't really pick it up again until he started touring with Plant.

  • I say bring all these guys back together again and have a tour. Just play really good blues and rock. It would be a war against rap tour. Add John Paul Jones.

  • JPJ, john paul jones, so underratted/ did so much/ HE HAD ALOT TO DO WITH THE ZEP SOUND than i ever thought!!

  • Clapton and Beck are just jealous that Jimmy is the coolest looking guitarist ever

  • @ledzep755 no1 can dance like jimmy while playing

    he looks the kewlest ,ALWAYS

  • Who is the bass player?

  • Bill Wyman - played with a moderately successful group called the Rolling Stones - you might have heard of them...

Good to see Charlie Watts smile at 1:30.

  • Well, I guess that shows how little I have listened to The Rolling Stones ;)

    Thanks for your answer

  • Wow, Page is looking so much better than he did at Knebworth. Great performance!

  • is mark knopler on that band¿?

  • Don't think so.

  • hey is one of the drummers charlie watts from the stones

  • Yes, Great Charlie and he seems to enjoy a lot the whole thing...

Also, Bill Wyman is there and he looks handsome _ a very rare moment concerningo to Wyman.

  • I wish people stop comparing guitarist, This was not a pissing contest, it was for Ronne Lane. Stop making about who better than who please

  • Haha that 2nd solo of Beck's is so vocal-like - tis brilliant

  • #1 jimmy page FOREVER

  • I kinda wish they'd give Mark Knopfler a solo in this one.

  • Thats andy fairweather low, i got confussed a while back

  • Oops, my bad.

  • Why he can't hold a candle to Jeff Beck Eric and Jimmy , sorry but true!

  • there all great

  • If Zeppelin is planning on finding a singer when they tour why not use the guy from the Black Crowes. Page used to play for them so he must not hate them.

  • Jimmy of doing really great!for what he has been through...

  • Jimmy is the Best ever!

  • Page sounds sloppy compared to Clapton.

  • page is just havin fun/always plays from feeling not technic / dont think for a second that its a " flaw "

  • Clapton is definitely by far the better pure blues player than beck or page, but Page and Beck made the blues and rock more progressive and modern.

  • Pete Townshend is a much better song writer than guitarist. But nevertheless, he is still a very capable guitar player.

  • Bill Wyman is the F***** coolest!!

  • Andy Fairweather -Low is always under the radar, but to be perfectly honest is one helluva a musician. He is always Claptons backup and many other artists. He is just as capable as Clapton, Page and Beck without the name recognition.

  • The monsters are in the house!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeh, Jimmy owns this for sure. Not that Erics and Jeffs solos were not good but the echoplex and Jimmys sense for the right notes and phrasing for the song shine.

  • Eric is playing slide, open tuning doesn't give him so much scope for soloing.

  • What's the full line up then?

If my eyes don't decieve me it's Clapton, Page, Beck...with Kenney Jones, Charlie Watts, Ray Cooper (?), Steve Winwood, Bill Wyman, Andy Fairweather-Low (?), and I don't know who the pianist is. Anybody got any clues?

  • I agree with everyone you posted - dunno the keyboard player, either.

  • all my heroes! what a line up!

  • sheesh someone on here doesnt like page to much

  • We someone to post more music from the great album, Backless. It's Claptons most underrated albums.

  • fucking clapton, jeff beck and page!!! amazing rock gods on stage!! dont forget jeff beck!

  • Page dominates as I expect at the starting of the video.

  • PAge dominates!!!

  • great vid

    comment me back wi

  • Excelente ritmo. bieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen.

  • i like pages solo
