  • since im an atheist it maybe weird, but i always loved the vocals of the christian singers

  • q buen video!!!!

  • I thought Jake's voice was amazingly strong until Vestal stepped in!

  • Dude!!!! JD Sumner sounded straight up like a bass guitar towards the end!!!!

  • Love it

  • The first minute or so of this song is my favorite. I LOVE Guy's voice, and I can't stop listening to this song. It's just amazing.

  • @liznipsness I LOVE Guy's voice. I lo ve hearing him sing The Baptisim of Jesse Taylor.

  • They are a blessing!!!! Thank you Lord for letting me listen to your angels.

  • thank you for the song!

  • Vestal outshined them all as usual, Loved the older singers, they could carry a tune and not Scream there lungs out, the Harmony was great

  • this song is really ease to the soul....god bless all the singers that put this clip together

  • Tears of joy.

  • great! i love this.

  • Great!

  • What's the name of the guy in a white suit at the left of the video? (4:00)

  • @LabakiTurbo

I just noticed nobody has answered your comment. I believe the gentleman is the white jacket is Squire Parsons.

  • I like much more the old guys like Vestal, Jake Hess and Ben Speer than these new ones - the Gaither Vocal Band. They scream too much!

I love those old mild southern gospel songs, but these new singers are really tiring after a short while.

  • You know good harmony when you hear it . the Gaithers has good harmony

  • One of the things I like about the Gaithers is the diversity of styles. There are at lest 4 in this song - their music helps Gods word across...

  • this is a great way to start a new year and a new decade

  • This is so uplifting ,you feel the power of good.

  • Very great...:o)

  • Beautiful Harmony!!!! Love JD!

  • 0jj0j0 wow, that last note by Sumner made vibrate everyone for sure !!

  • the combination EVER!!! WONDERFUL!!!

  • JD is the best bass singer in history and he si the lowest 2 octaves below the piano ok he ROCKS.

  • I know right?! He is freaking awesome! No offense but he is better than George Younce

  • i guess you haven't heard of george younce.... an original cathedral's member..THE BEST BASS Singer

  • jd's best song for me is "the touch of the master's hand"

  • I heard very few people that could sing this song to my liking.Elvis presley was one of them. But this doesn't sound bad either.

  • 1:46 / 5:09

  • That was awesome!!! I love gospel music.

And i know that NMtoledo has The Baptism of Jesse Taylor by Guy Penrod

  • Hey Hoover ....do you have the Guy version of "They Baptised Jesse Taylor" ? if so, please post.....and God bless you brother

  • hoover is a girl

  • HE is our defense and only refuge in the storm, Praise God!

Love the Gaither's, my brothers and sisters, God bless every one of you and keep you.

  • is this the choir and solo singers sing in the billy graham's crusade.. i am looking for the DVD which this group singing for

  • AWSOME!!! not many vocals and groups that use this kind of 4 part harmony anymore. these were some of the best of the best...I miss Jake, Vestal, eorge and J.D.

  • I drive around 14 hours a week on the road in my job and have this song on a Homecoming CD...it's great to see it on film (or whatever)...I reckon I've heard it in excess of 100 times...

  • Elvis does a great job on this song. My favorite. This is good too

  • This song was the first song that I sing in a church. I was about 9 or 10 years old.

  • elvis se podia equivocar , solo qeu los bajos son demasiado escasos ....where could he find other ?

  • Elvis no se podía equivocar, D.J. sumner era el bajo de su coro, excelente voz!!!

  • the guys that start singing at 3:15 sound like the Conjunction junction, what's your function guys hahahaha, I love it!

  • IT NEVER GROWS OLD. It makes you want to weep in that deep special way the Holy Ghost once moved among us.

  • yes, it never grows old, and the HOly SPirit still moves among us that way.

  • I will never get tired of watching this film. All such lovely voices... Praise the Lord. God Bless you all.

  • Chills. It brings goosebumps all over my arms when I hear these trios. I wish people would sing like this again. There are still many people from that era who can still sing like this. If there was some way they could be led to sing like this again all over this country. We would see a real change and hope renewed.

  • gosh i so agree with you.this was so rousing and had so much feeling it set me up for the day ...no the week..... loved it T x

  • I couldn't agree more. Music has taken a turn for the worst. I get goosebumps everytime I her gospel music. Unbelievable!

  • Hoover, were "All Day Singing At the Dome" and the "Atlanta Homecoming" filmed on the same day. I have "All Day Sing At the Dome" and they are dressed the same in both movies. So, do you know?

  • yes, they were filmed the same day. most of the time, the gaither concerts last so long they have to release two seperate videos to fit all the songs haha

  • "Because Bill gets caught up on a syllable and that's why the concerts last so long". Guess Mark was telling the truth lol. Thanks, Hoover.

  • i love this more and more everytime i watch it!!!

  • Just love this ol'e gospel number, Elvis sings it so well too!

  • it would have been really cool if they would have had the same people who sang it the first time sing it this time just like the first one

  • Could you post the original version of this song on the first GAither video called Homecoming? thanks.

  • i already have

  • hoover, do you have a video of bob cain singing "wonderful time up there?"

i'v been wanting to see that video for a long time

  • Hoover please repost Rusty Goodman on The Lighthouse It wont play. Thanks

  • its not my video its either youtube or a slow processer keep trying

  • Who is the young blonde lady next to Mark Lowry? Is she Vestal's daughter?

Thanks for sharing this video, such a blessing.

  • its tanya goodman sykes, she's howard and vestals neice, the daughter of rusty goodman

  • Thank you so much for your answer, and God bless you for all the work you do, sharing this songs of encouragement with everyone.

  • I loved the part with Vestal and Jake singing, but i didnt like Davis phelps singing too, hes a good singer but iwould rather of just heared them two

  • Just a question...which particular DvD/VHS was this taken from?

  • Where could I go? this says it all! Go to the Lord.

  • So many of those great singers have passed on...and that iteration of the GVB is no more. Vestal and Jake's duet is heavenly!
