They have a quality and melodic undertone that surpasses a lot of "metal." I feel like they take consideration into the craft and making music. I don't feel that or hear that when I listen to Sabbath.

@SkeeZo13 Well, yeah, everyone in Chapel Hill should have been headbang that night, but you have to take into consideration the fact that almost all of the people at the show were Higher than kites. They were stunned by the pure epic of the riffs, amplified by drugs.

lol i'm not saying this like it's a bad thing but you can totally tell that The Sword are pot heads haha but i myself am a pot head and i can never listen to The Sword without being stoned because being stoned while listening to these guys is just soooo much better and also The Sword are my favorite band of all time, i personally think that if The Sword never came out there'd be no good metal bands anymore.

@Phoenix73nj You're saying Metallica should have been a stoner metal band instead of one of the big four of thrash? Both bands draw direct inspiration to Black Sabbath but have completely different sounds. Metallica has 10 albums and has been around for 25 years and The Sword has 2 albums and has been around for barely a decade. Your comment is pretty arrogant I think.

@poketfulashelz You've got to remember that only a couple of Metallica's albums were even considered "thrash"(the only good ones in my opininon). The
Black Album was acceptable, but after that i haven't heard a single good new Metallica song.

@billycarmichael4 yeah man i agree, like personally i think Metallica's only good albums are Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice For All, and The Black Album, but after the black album their music just wasn't that good anymore in my opinion.

@billycarmichael4 If you're saying you consider everything up to the Black album good, that's 5 thrash albums not "a couple." I think it's cool that his favorite band is the Sword but to say that Metallica should have been exactly what the Sword is doesn't make much sense. He's basically saying that we should have skipped an entire era of metal and gone to a band that is influenced by the genre that never existed. In my mind that's arrogant.
