Yeah this is very unfair game play, I used to do this too when I first started, Get people to the edge and continuously hit them since you have solid ground. Everyone got really annoyed if I played this way, There is no skill, just constant button pushing.

even though I think Marth is one of the worst characters to perform a meteor smash (his sweet spot is kinda hard to hit) he is definitely one of the best characters when it comes to mid to low range attacks

I play(ed , the competitive scene is on the downturn) mvc2 competitively, EVO, all that. I started getting into melee, which was very fun. Brawl came out, and I was interested, I waited a while to see how the game evolved.

This is pretty lame. :/ Throughout the entire video you pretty much use the same moves on characters and it's repeated over and over again just on different stages.. It is a good move, don't get me wrong but it just gets boring after watching the same thing for seven minutes. A lot should have been clipped out IMO..

Marth is meant to be a character that uses quick movements and precise planning.

Ike can smash his enemys right off the stage in like two hits, but Marth can pwn with his speed/

When I use Marth, I focus on getting the enemy into the air, or off the stage using his 3 dancing blade combo attacks.

Then, I focus on keeping the opponent in the air by using his 4 air attacks to do damage, finaly, I either combo them off the stage and side spike em, or I grab, toss, and down spike

@JayCei1213 I will admit that is usually a good plan......unless you are facing a good toon link.....in which case your best bet is to get him off the stage and keep him there.....toon link can be a beast considering his up air lasts longer than an air dodge and his down air can screw you as well, me and a friend of mine brawl pretty often, i main Marth, and he mains Toon Link.....hes pretty beastly.....but Marths edge game does have a slight upper hand

I know, I though my plan was fool proof, until my buddy decided to use toon link and friggin down spiked me when I tried to side combo him.

I still won, but only because he fails at toon link.

Even toon link noobs can be pretty devestating if they keep spamming the down attack.

I came up with a new toon link proof combo.

I up smash them, roll away, and give them a dash cancel side smash.

Then I side air them twice and down spike them. THEN I follow them down and reverse air em'

@XXXminireevesXXX you can't - you need a c-stick, so a gamecube controller, a wii classic (or a wii classic pro, which I use) is what you need; the c-stick does a smash, or an aerial if in the air when you hit it, so to just and d-air at the same time, you need one of these OR, if you really don't wanna get one, use the nunchuck with the wiimote, and put the d-pad as 'smash', and then you will be able to do it =) but classic pro or gamecube controllers are much much better - hope this helps =)

@Whatshouldmyuserbe hell naw, jus tap B, unless they perfect shield it they are gettin like 70% of shield eatin, u can attempt to ware their shield down with D-Tilt or acouple of F-Airs and then throw in a B to finish the shield but thats if they dont roll away or try to retaliate

Rawr. Incredible video. Your DAirs are so well done. Stopping Falco's Phantasm with a jab is a brilliant idea. I usually use the FSmash, but from your video, I see that following the jab with one is a lot better. Also, it looks like Dancing Blade is a lot better than I gave it credit for, same with Shield Breaker. I'll have to pick up some of your techniques. :D

@naruto8105 the wii-mote is easier to understand, but the game cube controller gives you more control over your character. Easier to DI and also, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to go straight to an up tilt on the wii-mote, I've tried lol. You ussualy have to jump, land and then do an up-tilt. Classic controllers are also good but the joystick really can't tell much of a difference between smash and tilt :/

@naruto8105 it's like the up aerial attack but on the ground. On the wii-mote, unless you take tap jumps off, it's impossible to do an up-tilt because you'll jump instead. Also, with the gc controller, you can easily alternate between running and simply walking with one movement of the joystick, easy for diff in foward-tilts and dash attacks. Plus, it's easier to grab on GC which is REALLY needed for competitive play. However, it still pertains to a persons preference.

@naruto8105 Well, I've used both and there really is no way to 'tap' an up button.  Also, like I said I believe the grabb sequence is A+B together. In the gc, it's just one button. That and also I prefer using a joystick for smashes rather than using the A button or shaking the wii-mote. Shorthops are also easier to do, as well as DI imo, it all reflects on a perons preference.
