  • Great job dude.... one of the best and very handy tutorial on Packet tracer

  • only 3!??!?!?!?!??!

  • quick question.., when ip configuring from the pcs..., where do you get the default gateway...?

  • @bavarianfilled its the address you assign to your router that is directly connected to your pc

  • @K939A thanks... now i get it.., hehehehe just new to this stuff....

  • thanx Bro...

  • Good work KEVIN

  • awsomee.. i got more info from this video rather than from my training center..!!

  • Thanks dude.

    Its very usefull to me

    &

  • Thank you so much... Phewwww!!! they need to add more instructions to the lab book

  • Great Video. Very helpful. Thanks.

  • thanks for the video..Thank you..

  • Good job,i have an exam on Monday and this is definitely a step in the right direction. Do you have any tutorial on calculating IP Subnets?. I need help fast because that is one of the things i can't quite get my mind around. Eg. 172.18.0.0/16 and creating 100 host subnet address for two computers on a network separated by a router. Can you be of any help?.

  • great job dude, GREAT JOB!!1

  • kevin i no speak inglich ¬¬

  • Oh my GOD, unbelievable, very funny brilliant minds.

  • Good Work , it helped a lot i used this when i had no clue about what was going on

Keep up the good Work mate :)

  • keep the good work man

  • Thank you, like you are my brother :))))

  • Seriously, by reading all of these comments I can tell a lot of people need to go back to school and learn how to read and write again. The spelling and grammar in these comments is pathetic.

  • @soulofpurpose I think this is because of facebook and twitter....

  • is that a damned DOS?!!! Do you know it's 21st century now? We don't type anymore, instead we click. It's also known as progress!!!

  • @rroobboo999

Yea, it's 21st century and as you may already know normal servers like CISCO don't use GUI in real life. They have commands. So think before you write anything and start typing. Why these Windows users are so spoiled ..

  • @RylClown we are not spoiled as you think, we try to do it easier and not play geniuses or something

  • @rroobboo999

OK, lets talk about facts. CLI gives speed, more options, requires less power resources and often protects from newbies who like to play hackers. So I have no idea why server should have GUI. If you wanna play with your PC, that's fine, go on, use whatever you want. But please, stop talking nonsense about servers.

  • thanks brather

  • @rukmanamulya I do not think the lack of GUI can stop hacker attacks. This is actually the opposite, I think it will be easier for a good coder to hack something via the command line, and it is impossible to do if there is no button in the GUI that allows you to do it. It's simple logic, or you will say that the CISCO never been hacked? Just admit that you overpricing yourself by adding all sorts of difficulties

  • i got a purple envelope and the packet failed to reach PC1, what have i done wrong?

  • @ThemTheyHeShe oh now it works, seems i used a straight-through cable ... but why did you use a cross-over for this? i though router and pc are connected with a straight-through, no?

  • @ThemTheyHeShe Between router and pc, use cross over

  • I can't imagine what networking students like us been through years ago when there no PT or GNS3 ... how things were made easier and more convenient for us now.

  • Great video, very well explained.

  • awesome tutorial.

why cant my dumb prof show off like this. no no.. Thanks man!

  • awesome tutorial.

  • Thanks this was a big help....

  • thanks a lot..cudnt b better explained....now i can do more practice with the help of this.

  • couldn't be better explained, thanks a lot you have talent for explaining :)

  • Please upload more videos.... thanks....

this video was really helpful and very well explained.

  • It was really good and very helpful. I am new to networking, but they way you explain it , it was very clear. You are a very good teacher. Thanks a lot for you effort to put it on you tube. I am sure it will help thousand of people around the world like me.

  • excellent tutorial.

  • Nicely done, good job!

  • This clip is definitely a pro, through your endeavor, even the 6th grade can understand the complexity of the Packet Tracer and setup a functional network environment accordingly! Invaluable to the newbie who has no any knowledge background and wants to learn the Cisco Technology from ground zero.

I really hope that you may keep going the great job.

  • you do a very good job Kevin, but it sounds like you took a few Valerian Root and Melatonin pills before recording. :-)

  • Thanks for making this. You are a hugeeee help.

  • you are the fucking best, thanks man legend

  • This is an excellent tutorial. Finally, I can learn how to set up some network. However, how do we know that the default gate for the pc0 is 192.168.1.1 since we did not set up on the router?

  • Wow! HAHAHA. I love this tutorial!

It's like that i'm listening to a robot! hahaha.

    and i love it! :))

  • damn, can you explain one thing ?

After rounter config, you wrote ip's into both pc, but... why you entered PC0 192.168.1.1 gateway and on PC1 you entered 192.168.2.1 ?

I missed smething or what ? :/ also why both pc dont have same ip 192.168.1. but with different ending ? 1 and 2 ? In your video it's 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.2.2. The main rounter should have same gateway ... ://

  • @antitechno111 because the ip address of the pc should not be the same especially when you send a message so the routers can determine where will be the message send.....

if both pc have the same ip address it can occur a mis understanding

  • Good stuff, thanx its really usfull

  • Thanks, very helpful.

  • very helpful, thanx
