My sole income came from music from '88 to '98. Then I got a day job to supplement my income. I pursued both careers. Eventually I started my own aluminum construction co., which keeps me busy by day. But I've gigged pretty much the whole time along the way too. (I took a year off back about 10 years ago.)

It can be done if you don't mind working your butt off.
