I remember staying up all night with Tony at Cafe de Paris in Georgetown, or in some other cafe bar in Adams Morgan. We were studying art then, (he was 25, I was 19)... Once he started playing his guitar, well, who was counting the minutes?
I had the opportunity of meeting Tony in his New Orleans home, Professor Errol Barron took us there. I still have a beautifull pencil drawing of a woman sitting in a sofa that I bought fron him. He is a really cool person and amazingly talented.
Tony Tony.....I know you love Venice and I hope they love you. Great tune and great playing. We miss you in New Orleans. steve staples, international vintage guitars.

Miss the studio and the serenity not to mention the chai with honey, figs and gingersnaps from my last visit.

Sounds great Tony. This is the Gypsy trumpet player, Brian Finigan. I left New Orleans and am now playing western swing in New Mexico.
