What a nice coment you put there buddy, hope your well and i share your appreciation for Kathy a realyl beautifull ordinary talented women.

  • I am an American and Kathy Kirby was not famous in my country. However, I stumbled upon her because Helen Reddy sang one of Kathy's songs in a talent contest that precipitated Helen coming to the US and have huge success. The song was "I Belong". Of course I loved how Helen sang it, and then I heard Kathy sing it and immediately went out and bought her Greatest Hits CD. R.I.P. Ms Kirby, you made the UK very happy and also this American!

  • cilla may think a bit diff...

  • sad to lose another one of our great stars... :-(

  • R.I.P Kathy. Your songs will still give us joy. 20 October 1938 – 19 May 2011)

  • May flights of angels wing you to your rest.

  • God bless kathy may you rest in peace x

  • at 2.00 this is not kathy kirby,it is the ameracan healthworker, kathy was mismanagered and bit by bit her saving were stolen

  • I was surprised to find some songs last year - I did not know.

Miss Kirby is the gently singer of romantic songs.

My thoughts will always be with her - by all the artists that I like so much,

she is still in first place!

In accordance to all the friendly comments I wish Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Best Regards from Germany - François

  • beautiful kathy. she was and still is my alltime favourite female singer.

    many thank's for posting

  • kathy could have gone on to be a great concert performer ranking along side shirley bassey or dorothy squires but the poor girl was beset by personal problems. i thought she was great. reading her book made me quite sad.

  • my dad died in 1967 but my mum said she was always his favourite singer so now when ever i hear her sing on the radio or what ever i think of dad

  • Forget Pet, Cilla & Dusty. Kathy always gets put by the way .She was better then all them put together, also she was serious crumpet compared with the competition at the time!

  • I would so dearly love to meet this TRUE Mega Star. A legend that I have heard so much about from my other half, The Great days in Blackpool during the late

60s, when Blackpool was the top UK venue! My era. Tarbuck, Yana, Eddie Calvert, Joe Locke, The list of stars was endless as were the summer seaons

We always used to talk about Kathy doing a version with 'Take That' .

A sure chart hit yet again.

K K if you see this please, grant my sincere wish.

    LOL KK x

  • @vaslav030547 - I have forwarded your comment to Kathy - So she will see it.

  • What's the point! It is perfectly normal that it changes with age. In most cases she can do something to combat overweight. I hope she´s feeling good about it ! I'm looking forward to her birthday in the next few days and I will congratulate her on 20.Okt. - Your voice and music is beautiful ! - nice Video - hugs and kisses francoisxx

  • Christ, why couldn't they leave her alone? She looks terrible.
