  • I must say, that is a very nice example, very tidy.

  • Yes it is a diesel. It is a York 2.5 indirect injection ford engine with heater plugs (stage 2 head). The one made a long time ago (around 1980/s) before the direct injection one (DI, no heater plugs). This one has been running before the vid was taken that is why it started turn-key with no yellow pre heat light showing etc.

  • its not a diesel

  • All those electrical gadgets inside it are probably worth more than the van itself.

  • Nice, nice quality as well!

  • we have them in turkey they are the best i have one 2.4 1986 diesel working nice still well in winter i dont have problem ... we have here old saying ''if u have ford u are lord'' :))

  • wow that was an amazing start 2 seconds flat awesome

  • i had one of these in scottish winter it wouldnt start atall

  • Engine looks like an PSA ;-)

  • @fiat850super Maybe, but this engine is actually developed by Ford themselves. It took several years more for PSA to have a direct injection Diesel.

  • Johnbas, we used to have an old Transit v8 Police Van parked in our garden. Not sure if it ran or not. Ended up scrapping in the end!

  • transits start always at 1st try, transit power!

  • Your van's SWEET man!! Congratulations! Rebuilding my mk3's 2.5di engine and will respray it this summer =D
