Just goes to show how little any Maori in NZ along with "Hone the over compensator" understands the Fijian situation as it is not about sovereignty and holds views that the Maori party and other racists residing in my beautiful NZ would do well to observe.

The fact that NZ journos and politicos are unable to fully grasp the job he has undertaken is even sadder as his methods are a requirement in the face of pig headed, self centered and potentially violent racist groups.

it wud b good 2 see someone an mp inparticular who is not ruled by money but rather morals and ideals. i think Maori wud relate better with Fijians as this is a matter of sovereignty, which Maori have had forcably removed from them and Fijis right to self govern being threatend thru sanctions and diplomatic pressure and ultimately threat of military intervention by 2 of the colonising govts of the pacific aus&nz. i dont think talking is stupidity compared 2 armed response.

Yes i do think both he and the Fijian people would appreciate the gesture of having a hui with a or some representatives of Maori. Because we are all indiginous to the Pacific & all sons & daughters of Maui. Different branches from the same tree, so to speak. I think its important that we support them & i think Fiji would appreciate that support. Something i dont expect you to ever understand as a honkie!

Maori, nowadays, have blood from all sorts of cultures in our veins.

Here in Aotearoa, the ONLY bloodline that means anything is Maori... when we go overseas we jump on that whakapapa, so as to find identity there.

So yes, Maori ARE different... we know who we are :-)

Watched this on TV and thought Hone has come along way - hes a lot more self controlled & diplomatic. Miss the old renegade, un-pc, shoot to kill Hone though. The MP shuld let him talk more to the media. When he explains something he strips away all complexity and opens up the issue in a very simplistic way. Its a waste really - he should have gone to Fiji himself, not as a representative of NZ but a representative of Maori - we would have backed him.
