Lol :D this is fun :D I have been thinking to do the same thing in our Apple store (macforum), because the computers have a remote I can controll all computers at the same time :D
Nice job. That's so great. The best part of this video would be the reaction of the employees (if there's any staffed there anymore). You should bring a friend with another camera.
It may as well be that the physical framerate is higher actually (100 Hz for example) and that may make motions on 50 / 60 Hz signal framerate (wich is interlaced in the case of analog signals so it's actually 50 / 60 -half- frames per second) look not as smooth as on old CRT TV sets. It may be just an optical delusion.
@CassetteMaster it has a chip with a big database of all the different infrared codes and when you start it it cycles through all the codes and the TVs go off as it puts out the right code for that particular TV. it takes about a minute and a half to go through them all and then it shuts off.
federal law says that any electronic device must be able to operate while being subject to interference. *en.wikipedia*org/wiki/Title_47_CFR_Part_15*
@manyvideoinerests I agree! analog TV was so much better now you get scrambled signals and drop outs. this device just has a huge database of remote codes and it goes down the list till it gets to the one the TV operates on and it shuts it off
@oldtime40s it just turns them off by cycling through all the popular infrared codes. I wish it broke them, I would break every flatscreen I see! but i'd probably get in big trouble if I got caught lol
6 HDTV's did not like this. xxDD
