Where to begin? How about the fact that a car horn sounds an awful lot like an elephant's trumpet. They use it for a variety of things, but one of them is to issue a challenge to another elephant. Secondly, it's not throwing sand into its' mouth. It's throwing sand onto itself so it won't have to deal with insects. It does the same thing with mud to prevent insects and cool itself off.
