  • Flew out of terminal 5 last year for the first time, was a brilliant experience! so much easier than other airport terminals ME LOVE BRITISH AIRWAYS.

  • @iopy321

    Excellent!

  • Your Welcome

  • I will be flying from Washington Dulles To London With British Airways On 4/23/12 cant wait

  • @2001Randomperson

    Have a great trip!

  • I have never travelled out of Heathrow Terminal 5 so this will be a new experience for me and am really looking forward to my hols coming up in September flying to Miami another new experience for me I have never been to Miami I have been America before New York and Orlando but not to Miami I hear its a very vibrant city. Usually I travel with Virgin but this time decideded to travel with BA for a change. What is the weather temp like in late September early October?

  • @tich302001

I'm sorry I've been to so many airports I don't recall for sure about Heathrow Terminal 5 right now. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to see aircraft movement but I don't recall to what extent...

  • @tich302001

In england usally around 10 but before it has been snowing at that time of year

  • We'll be travelling to and from Heathrow airport I have never been to Heathrow Terminal 5 I hear it is very modern. Is there anywhere on the departures side of the terminal to sit watch the planes landing and taking off while you wait for your flight to be called. Sitting in departures can be boring without something to do like watching the activity of whats going on outside the terminal on the airside of the airport.

  • @tich302001 Terminal 5 is very modern indeed and the staff working there are very nice.

there are large windows on your left side as you enter and you will be abel to see planes leave but however it is not the best angel as most planes take off from behind or aside of the building. The windows are on the same side as the departure gates so there isn't really many places to sit .i like term.5 and i certainly have enjoyed my stays there.

  • not sure if i like the new look of modern terminal airports. THey all have that similar look to them. All that steel structure visible on the cieling makes it look like an industrial warehouse or factory.

  • @210482fmj

I am in agreement with you but notice this feature just about everywhere around the planet. Wherever I go many of the shops, restaurants, airports, and other structures are all starting to look alike...

  • @210482fmj You're absolutely right , globalisation destroys aviation , it used to be much more interesting in the past...

  • Man T5 looks fantastic. I haven't been to Heathrow since 2006 and that turned out to be a disasterous last trip there, getting my BA flight to Detroit cancelled and then having our luggage lost for 5 days in New York(atleast we were told that). Can't wait to get the oppurtunity to fly BA again this year and through this facility.

  • @TSBA92

Okay, I hope you have a better experience this time around! I just flew on a Price Line.com ticket that turned out to be a disaster on my way to Florida. Seems to be hit and-miss these days with airlines and ticketing companies...

  • miss Heathrow so much.....

  • @noversibirsk

    Me too!

  • walk a bit quicker freak

  • ding....DING.... i was there for the 2nd time today, very connecting sound, shame about the robot voice :)

  • @madstanwan

I'm in Moscow, as I write this response, so hope to have a video for it posted as well. Don't think I'll be back

to London for a few years but you never know! ZeekZilch

  • i love airports, aint been on a flight in 4 years, gotta go when i can.

  • @wagjiani7

Unfortunately flying and airports aren't as much fun as they used to be!

  • @zeekzilch that's true , Unfortunately globalisation destroyed aviation completely

  • @kostasdaskk

    Yep, I agree.

  • @kostasdaskk Globalisation has not destroyed aviation!! Aviation has actually CONTRIBUTED to and is a key factor of globalisation. If anything globalisation has kept the aviation business alive. If we all stopped flying tomorrow there'd be no need for the aviation industry.

  • @lawrencestoke I hate globalisation in all ways , a lot of things changed , for example each country had its own airline for instance swissair , sabena , olympic airways etc , now there only alliances , aviation has lost much of its excitement. The terminals have changed to worse too :(

  • @kostasdaskk Is it possible to hate globalisation in every way? You and I can communicate almost instantly as a result of globalisation technologies. You can go to Africa or India tomorrow if you want to! In the past even the wealthiest in society could only dream of what ordinary people have access to today thanks to certain aspects of globalisation. As for airline mergers, thats just business! Under capitalism you do what you have to do to survive and beat the competition. But I understand you

  • @lawrencestoke I miss the excitement of planes and airports , I miss each european country's national currency and we had to exchange it in the airports , I miss when we needed our passport and not national IDs , I miss all those things , flying abroad has become meaningless and indifferent , I HATE HATE HATE globalisation , I hate multiculturalism , I hate the new world order , I hate new airport terminals , I miss the old ones

  • Bing Ding 0:12 I Like The Noise

  • @EatDaGamez

    Me too!

  • @EatDaGamez is there any way to get the "Ding Ding" of Heathrow Airport? :P That could be my SMS Tone lol

  • @TWESTDOT I Don't Know I Guess When U Go Into The Terminal U Record The Noise But It's Pretty Hard To Do!

  • @EatDaGamez yeah..i dont think im goin back to UK for another 3 years lol

  • @TWESTDOT Lol! :D

  • @EatDaGamez i know i have to plat iy 6 times as well....lol

  • @topwing93

Very interesting - I hope to return some (night) and see all those lights you've described!

  • I love that noise it makes at 14 seconds i knew i was at heathrow when I heard that

  • @QuentinCG21

I agree - that is a nice sound!

  • @zeekzilch yeah you know your at Heathrow when you hear that, at least i did

  • @topwing93 both airport would be busy, but most filghts from those 2 airports arent international

  • @topwing93

I think you're right about how busy both of them are!

  • I can't until I come to this airport this summer. If there's anything i need to know please tell me. BTW i subscibed .

  • @Historian1998

Thanks for the sub! I can't think of anything you'll need to know about London or Heathrow - treat it all with a sense of adventure (and gratitude) and you'll do just fine!

  • Was it hard to find your way around?

  • @Ericules555

No, everything was clearly marked and wide-open for clear access.

  • @zeekzilch wow thats good like at the Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix Arizona, yeah in the US not England but still, everytime i fly out or go there with a fam, from Az, its marked like crap and when you ask for help they get snippy like their diapers need changing and the Douglas/Charolette Airport in North Carolina when i went to visit fam in South carolina wasnt well labled either but they were friendly

  • @Ericules555

In Denver they also have volunteers walking around to give people assistance. You can usually spot these folks because they're wearing western wear (cowboy hats, etc.) and have an identification badge.

  • @zeekzilch hmm thats cool ours theyre just in suits or janitor looking clothes and when you find one they're grumpy

  • I want to see that airport in person now.

  • @Epica124

I think it's the most famous airport in the world!

  • nice video! I felt as if I was going on a holiday again.

  • @SkunkWorksX

    Thanks!

  • From Denver to India there is also Lufthansa.

  • @Ahuntsicspotter

I have heard Lufthansa is very comfortable.

  • @zeekzilch Yes and Lufthansa has received 4 a 380s and they are planning to send one off them to Delhi India. But to Denver Colorado Lufthansa is using the Airbus a 340-600. Lufthansa is the 4 star airline like British Airways but British Airways have on older fleet than Lufthansa.

  • Can i have a cup of coffee and a Grilled chicken sandwich PLEASE. Thanks.

  • When I went to las Vegas in october we nearly got lost :L

  • @chrissywoo5

Although I've been to Las Vegas many times I don't remember their airport. I do remember the one

in Reno, Nevada as that's been more recent and is full of slot machines!

  • Went from this terminal to New York last year and it is freaking hugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @prussell890

    I agree - it's huge!

  • i'll be there on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrValeely

    Hope you had fun!

  • @zeekzilch I did have fun thanks!this airport is enermous!!!!!

  • will be there in 20 days!!!

  • @dipmuthafukinset

    Send us a video!

  • @zeekzilch will do !

  • it'a weird to think ive stood exactly where you stood....

  • @AdamcanbeAdam

Yes, a strange thought but I guess the world is getting "smaller!"

  • yea i stood in that exact spot too weird

  • I love the Heathrow Airport !

I love to bee there, buy a cake and seat at the HUGE window and watching the planes take off and landing all around the world, one by on, till i hear that voice saying that my plane is readdy to bording and i will fly to an other Airport.

  • @ShamrockFront

Sounds like great fun at a great airport!

  • @ShamrockFront ill be honest i hate heathrow .... i probably would like it if i went to t5 but i fly virgin so i go to t3 and i hate it, its smerlly, way overcrowded, you cant see the airplanes anywhere, theres a 10 mile walk to your gate, all the shops are for thousand dollar purfumes no-one can afford , longest security line ever and it takes litteraly half an hour in the queue at wh.smith and its worse when youve landed

  • @ShamrockFront me too!! i've been here 2 yrs ago while flying on kuwait airways! me and my family almost went got out of the airport by going through the immigration process when u realized that this is the way to get out of the airport wheras it was my 1st time there! then, we almost missed our plane cause we took a while and we were there for boarding right on time!

  • heathrow is huge now terminal 5 is built

  • @1982FMJ

It's one of the world's greatest airports!

  • Comment removed

  • @1982FMJ

Okay, you may be correct as we've only been in the one terminal and haven't had time to see the entire airport. Our own airport, in Denver, Colorado is now considered to be the largest in land area in the world although it's actual traffic flow is way below that of London...

  • I've been to denver airport and have to say that place is truly impressive especially as it was my first time flight from heathrow via dulles. Heathrow was interesting but denver airport was truly amazing for the first time travel experience due to its sheer size and cleanliness and technolgy and architechture. Its actually the second largest denver. largest is Fahd International Airport in Damman, Saudi Arabia

  • @1982FMJ

For its first year of operation the Denver airport had a lot of trouble with its automated baggage system. But, it looks like everything is work great a decade later! I didn't know that about Fahd International but hope to see it some day!

  • Have you ever been to Schiphol Airport?

  • @IVgrandtheftauto

No, I have not. Where is it located?

  • @zeekzilch It is located in the Nederlands.

  • @IVgrandtheftauto

Yes, I've been to that airport before and took the subway/train system to downtown - very nice!

  • @zeekzilch OK-Thanks for the comment.I''m going to Schiphol Airport,it was fun-But the only airlines by the gates were KLM,that suck''ed,i wanted to see Martinair -@ the panorama floor on the Airport.

    Thanks for the Comment!

  • 1:13 Typical poofy London what IS that supposed to be? Brunel would have fit if he saw those hanging from Paddington!

  • @ednuttah

I don't know what they are but they look "poofy" to me too!

  • pretty cool airport thanks 4 sharing

  • @waterclear26

    I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • @fablehottie RUN!

  • The whole world will eventually be run like an airport, with checkpoints everywhere so that the world will be "sterile." The New World Order has begun already in the airports and it will spread eventually to everywhere. Pretty soon, you won't be able to take a dump without a security check to make sure you don't blow yourself up on the toilet.

  • looks good hope to fly from there soon

  • I'm going there next week and it's for the first time :D

  • omg i was there the next day you uploaded.

  • @YungEezyTellEm

    Wow, small world!

  • you walk quickly, and if you need to hop on the train to the B terminal, which takes like 2 minutes if that.... if you have 15 minutes, you can make it to ANYWHERE in T5 A or B

  • run like hell

  • @shanondor great song! I love pink floyd.

  • With modern security concerns I don't think there's much you could do if you're running late...

  • Wow its more bigger and more modern then terminal 4 !

  • ive been there last june

it waz really nice and one of the nicest airports ive ever been to

  • Only 3 miles from my house!

  • 3 miles or 4.8 kilometres?

  • 3 Miles - Im old school. Plus i used to used to deliver to Heathrow on a daily basis and watched the whole of T5 be built from foundation right up the final part of the roofing.

Was amazing to see the whole thing be built on a daily basis. I did the same for the Millenium Dome, Greenwich. I was in Canary Wharf on the 50th Floor (Mirror Group) and watched that take shape. I have been lucky!

  • I'm here in March and I am already worried i'm going to miss my flight! Lol.

I've bought my ticket on BA's website and got a code and i'm neurotic that something will go wrong!

  • You'll be fine and you'll also have a great time!

  • I'm going from heathrow to Denver. I'm mostly worried about US security clearance! :)

  • Is it easy to check in and to find the right gate?

  • Yes, just follow the signs!

  • I tried to film walking around Luton Airport and i was jumped upon by security and almost shot.

  • only ever departed from terminal 1 and 2, but wow you can see how much money has been put into terminal 5

  • @overcastwithshowers yes, similar thing happened to me... i was arriving to dallas/ft worth airport from london with a large sweet (as a novelty gift) and security took it, stating that "it could be plastic explosives".. but not at Heathrow, which is a much larger and more international airport.

  • @AdamcanbeAdam actually dallas is ranked among the top ten bussiest airports and has more passenger movements but it is less international but still prettey international

  • sigh... i miss london...

  • I miss it too!

  • London Heathrow Terminal 5 is a British Airways Only terminal im sure so no thai airways lounge:( sorry

  • Yes your right, it is BA only terminal :)

  • I'm going to Heathrow terminal 3 on my way to Shanghai... SLIGHT difference to terminal 5 but oh well nevermind hahaha

  • mr zeek good job. now we are flying from -jfk-lhr-bkk. is the upper class lounge in term 5 for thia airways.

  • Glad you liked the terminal... It is a nice place to work too...! Well, to walk through to get to the aircraft... !

  • ah ok thanks anyways

  • u know anything about the japanese airlines?

if so which is the best one in terms of service price and facilities on board?

  • Sorry, although I've flown to Japan I don't know much about the airlines there...

    - Roger J. Wendell

    Golden, Colorado

  • were you flying from terminal 5? and was it ba?

  • Yes, we had just flown in from Denver, non-stop, with British Airways. We were only in London for a few hours before flying to Delhi, India. The few times I've been on British Airways was relatively comfortable. But, of course, darn expensive!

    - Roger J. Wendell

    Golden, Colorado

  • thanks

was going to fly to new york this summer but i couldnt decide between ba and virgin

  • both are wicked

  • nice !

  • Thank you!

    - Roger J. Wendell
