Update  We have one of those still alive after three years and another that's two years old!

Thanks for the positive comments... My wife is a science teacher and after her classes observed these, she brought them home and set this up. This tank has been up for almost 3 years... She's cleaning it later today so I can report how many are still alive...

do u have baby fiddler crabs only??? i didnt watch the whole thing i have 2 adult or bigger ones and i think if they were both boys they would fight but they dont so i think it is either 2 females or a male and a female if its a male and a female and they have babys i will sell them for $1 each or i will give them away free!!!!!!! (to people in wisconsin) if u live in like illinois and u want one, its up to u to drive over here and get one, not ours and thanks for the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update: 2.5 years later the aquarium is still up and the crabs are still alive and thriving!

@RocketJohn That is because you did your homework and RESEARCHED them BEFORE you got them! GOOD JOB! I wish every one would do that before they go into a hobby they know nothing about and kill innocent life forms just because they did not want to take the time to do a little reading first.

i have 2 mini crabs and 2 red clawed crabs. the mini crabs are hot temperd and get all antci when you try to pick them up. But the red claw one are calm and easy to handle.

Fiddler crabs may look mean, but they are actually very very fragile. Red Claw crabs would kill them pretty easily. They have tiny mouths, and those big claws are useless for anything other than threat displays.

This video (while a great example of a habitat) doesn't show their threat display, which is really what makes them entertaining as pets.

i agree with llllBallPythonslllll. red claw crabs are sweet. theres also a red chilli crab . those are cool to but a little more expensive

Fiddler crabs are awsome and mostly peaceful, i've had red clawed crabs aswell and there kinda temperment is...a little short but nice idea :)
