Seek out Arlo Guthrie's version of this tune which Van Dyke Parks did a wonderful arrangement for. There is a live tv version on You Tube of Arlo on the Johnny Cash Show, but it's not quite as good as the studio version.

@cindyandrob Dude, have you heard their other stuff? They're extremely talented. I highely doubt their Christian though :(.

@elementskaterxl actually yes they are very much Christian. I was there neighbor my hole life until they moved to New York. They father Jim, is a very christian man and brought them up singing old timey gospel songs. I have been to church with them several times. They are very humble guys and very nice. It's hard to find people like them. Especially nice seeing they have stayed that way even after getting so big. They still sing gospel. Check out Jim Avett and the Family CD and you will see.

@MrOutlawCountry Well if that's the case, why do several of their songs use profanity? I just bought one of their albums and the song Matrimony uses it. And I heard another song on youtube that was done live and it said something like "sometimes I curse when I pray". I know there are some "christians" that think it's ok to use profanity and still claim Christ, but that doesn't separate them from the rest of the world.
