This episode was extremely sexist and homophobic. At the end, Blanche goes on a date with a man who saw her on the show and thinks she's a lesbian. He tells her she's never been with a real man and he can change her. Blanche goes along with it and tells Dorothy its over between them and goes off with the man. What kind of stupid message does that send? I use to love the Golden Girls but this episode was pathetic.

@100Bluewaves: Two things: 1) Remember, this was the final season of the Golden Girls, and by this point GG had a track record of being one of the most progressive and honest shows about gay issues. The audience watching Blanche's line about "changing her" knew that there wasn't a homophobic bone in any of these ladies' bodies.

2) It WOULD have been distasteful if Blanche actually were a lesbian, and had said that, but it was another way of Blanche getting a man!
