What a great scanner! I've read a lot about Yupiteru MVT-9000 but this is the first time I have actually got some ears-on experience on this great scanner. It sounds terrific for a hanld-held scanner and I was wondering how it sounds like on HF ssb stations. Thanks!
They're a great scanner, but can suffer breakthrough from a strong local station such as a taxi firm a couple of streets away, it's not quite as resilient as the 7100 for breakthrough. Basically, they're a bit "kitchen sink" (as in they have everything but the) as there is so much coverage crammed in there.
Putting it straight into a long wire antenna or G5RV overloads it and it begins to fall over, but with an ATU in place to reduce sensitivity it does a reasonable job.
