does anyone know of a firewire-USB adapter? or something along the lines of a USB connected SD card reader but a firewire port. Sorry for being vague. It's the only way I can think to explain it.
@2migell The differences are cosmetically only. The color and length are different. The lens hood and eyecup are different. Apparently the heads on a VX2100 are stronger
i have a vx1000 and i got mine for around 800 dollars. The 21000 is probably around 1250-1500. They dont make the camera anymore so u have to get it off craigslist or kijiji. It plugs into your computers firewire port. A firewire port is like a usb port put uses a different cable. I would rexomend using a cpture cam though, not the wear down the heads of the camera. If u film skate, would recomend u get a vx1k because the colors are a lot better and warmer. Good luck!

@TheRealColeKane You should use a capture cam, (a cheap crappy camera that als uses mini DV tapes) and upload to your computer using that.
