Hello, I'm a Filipna, Asian, but I've heard of Paul Mauriat and grew up with his symphony orchestra every single day of my life. Yes, you're right not all Asians knew him probably I'm the only one who knew him while growing up. But I've loved playing his music even though his albums were all written in French and could hardly understand each one of them. We've had collections of Ray Conniff, James Last, Anthony Ventura and others but Paul Mauriat's~ the best!

Also, one of the countries he is best known in, is Japan, Asia's most prosperous nation.
