  • whats with all this feet pointing stuff? it just comes naturally to me

  • where are you? this place is soo weird

  • @hockeylaxbro416 upstairs of a barn

  • Nice tips, you guys should get a lot of credit 4 ur vids!

  • I never played hockey until i was 16, i remember starting to play street hockey when i was like 14 or 15, and then i bought some nets and roller blades, i taught myself how to ice-skate earlier and the roller blade transition was easy; then we all started playing roller hockey. after about a year or so of roller hockey, and me not being too bad at it, especially with wrist shot and snap shot accuracy, i tried out and made my high school ice hockey team... lulz at roller leading to ice hockey

  • I can shoot top shelf, bottom, butterfly everytime from a certain distance, but after i get closer to the top of the circles my shot just starts going high every time and i cannot aim it whatsoever....any tips??

  • Are you inside an upside-down boat in this video or something?

  • Thank you and how did u get so good

  • how much did you pay for that tile of synthetic ice? please reply

  • @Ronkoozsportsboy it's just a shooting pad, they are at least $70 at hockeygiant and hockeyshot. go to lowes and get a huge piece of bathroom panelling and a bottle of spray for a combined under $20 and you'll be set!

  • @saundersthegreat what spray, why spray?

  • @canufi use pledge, it makes the pad more slick so the puck will slide better, you don't need much of it. The panelling is called hardboard, it's the same stuff that is used on whiteboards for teaching a class, but you will find it in the bathroom wall panelling section at lowes or home depot, whatever you have around you.

  • 8 people who disliked are goalies

  • I like everything you're saying except the "dipping" and foot position. The foot position is actually a bad habit. Developing bad habits right from the beginning is not good advice.

  • Don't even attempt at trying this. I'm just still gonna save your shots.

  • I don't get why people are hating on this, he spent time explaining because it's a tutorial for beginners. He went 6/6, he must be doing something right.

  • i love neing Canadian!

  • Nice warehouse

  • this is like a typical hockey player from canada haha a barn with a net some old weights its all good

  • Shucks. Everybody is right-handed in hockey, opposite of me :(.

  • I fast forwarded to when you put all 3 top left corner and said you were 6 for 6... Any tips on how I can get that accurate?

  • What is the fake ice kinda thing you are shooting off called?

    Thanks

  • your face and hair reminds me of ovechkin

  • great shots u just spend to much time explaining things

  • Subbed, great tips, thanks a lot!

  • I'll be following these great tips, but I think my game would improve even MORE if I had a cool-ass airplane hanger to work out in like Jeremy.

BTW, I'm American (of French Canadian nationaility) and I wouldn't THINK of disliking these videos.

  • 7 people can't take a wrist shot

  • your channel has helped me so much make some more videos

  • Accuracy bro, must of toke years :o

  • i have tht same stick

  • great video. This is definately improving my game.

  • I wish I had enough money for a new stick....

  • Another way to help with accuracy and power is to 1. take a bigger step forward which im sure you do but since this is just a accruacy video i understand. and 2. its kind of a bad habit to pick up your back foot after you shoot, it takes all your balance away.

  • when you were saying drag a line with your stick to where your shooting and re-align yourself. that's only really going to help if your playing road hockey or in an accuracy comp. in game situation you wont have time to re-align yourself, and shooting in a straight line is just telegraphing to the goalie exactly where the puck is going to go....another thing is don't look where your shooting. if I'm shooting top left, I'm looking top right. goalies cheat all the time

  • @storyisgod13 well, these are beginner / intermediate tips. Those tips are great for higher level players though. The "drag a line" tip is just to help people understand, and only really applicable while practicing, eventually your accuracy is second nature like tying your shoe laces

  • /watch?v=EKCVrxGimbA&feature=autoshare

  • nice accuracy

  • quick question if ur gonna shoot off the heal of ur blade why not just use a wood twig instead of paying for composite

  • Nice video!

  • awesome twig

  • nice accuracy! too bad left is the right way :p

  • Do you practice in an airplane?

  • what is the stick your using in this video?

  • im 20 out of school work fulltime and stil want to join a mens legue but there is no icerink within a hour of where i live that has one :(

  • he kind looks like datsyuk and while in a game you cant point your feet, or have great body position so you need to learn to shoot from every angle.

  • @MrDaNiK1234 it is definitely true that you should practice every angle, and I recommend this in other videos. I teach the pointing your feet to help players become aware of different signals. If you are aware of everything that affects your accuracy you will get a better idea of where the puck will go no matter what position you are in. Also the odd time you can line up a shot, and when that time comes you want to make sure you can snipe the right spot!

  • @MrDaNiK1234 he looks like jagr while playing for rangers

  • looks like he is stowing away somewhere

  • which stick are you using in this vid ?

  • Cool, im an righty too :D

  • I figured this video would be a bunch of dumb tips, and I figured you wouldnt have great accuracy. But for the one time, you actually know what your doing, and you prove it.

  • sick setup in the barn shed there

  • dude i need help im a great player and i got so much speed and my shot is super great but i constantly hit the crsbar and post any tips or anything to help me get it MORE" on net?!

  • @BRAMPTONskater Sounds like you've got it all under control.

  • what peice of board were you using for this vid?

  • @TennisAnnalyst Im not sure if you were just commenting or trying to degrade me lol. Strength training does not always mean 'get huge'. There is no doubt in my mind that wrist curls (the weight on a string rolling up and down) will help your power. Sure a good shot stems from technique- not doubting that at all. You dont have to be big or try to get big to strength train. Shake Alexi Kovalev's hand and see if he doesnt crush your hand. Of course you dont need to be big, look at theo fleury

  • your an animal

  • i need help shooting, i dont what im doing wrong. any common mistakes?

  • That looks like a gagne blade. I sniped a bender in the face with that blade haha

  • what are you shooting off of?

  • ur videos really help. thanks and keep putting up new ones. ~Vic~

  • this guy should play hockey!!!!

  • When you're getting comfortable with your accuracy start aiming with your peripherals.

  • the one person who disliked is american

  • @DiAI3L0 love it lol :P

  • -_- ..... here we go.

  • @DiAI3L0 The person (now people) who disliked probably didn't care for the video.......

  • best youtube vid on hockey tips i have seen yet...THANKS!

  • Good video for beginners. Another thing you might want to have them work on is a quicker release. The weighted stick/wrist curling will help this alot but you dont want to slide the puck 4 feet before you shoot. The quicker the better

  • @c5hames Yup, I cover that in some other videos. There is a video on the two types of wrist shots, one covers the most power, the other talks about the quick release, and when you should use each type.

  • Great video dude. Just a little tip try pledge on your shooting board it's amazing how much it slides. I have been playing hockey pretty long and I just switched to the new graphite sticks. And I wanted to know with your wristers do you flex the stick before hand?

  • @ezzizle95 It depends on how you shoot, if you have a powerful shot the stick will bend a bit and add power to your shot. If you are doing more of a snapshot then you should try to get a lot of flex from your stick. If you watch the pro players in slow-mo they get a lot of flex from their snapshots and even wrist shots, but you need explosive power and really good technique (a low flex stick helps too)

  • Thank you for the very much effort put into this video!

Except I always wondered, when I am about to shoot, should I lean on the stick to flex it? Will the whip of it add to the power to the shot when the stick leaves the ice?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @RomanBelvedere With snapshots I really lean on the stick to get the flex, with big wrist shots I tend to rely more on the body like legs, arms and core muscles for the power (a bit from the stick)

  • i have some old hockey boards too

any way to make it more slippery

  • @jrmanful I hear wood polish works. I never really bother with any of that though

  • I kinda pull the puck in a bit in the shooting motion somehow it gives me more power than if i went in a straight line

  • i wish i had a hockey/workout barn

  • @TheAtomicMahem not too sure, it was probably just an old stick lying around in the barn :D

  • You should do a video on how to shoot a quick powerful shot from your side, like when you are square to the net.

  • @punkchickoioi Thanks for your comment. I have one called how to take a wrist shot from your off foot, and the two types of wrist shots covers it a bit as well.

  • THX from France ! Easy to understand and good demonstration for the movement.

    :)

  • You really really need a wireless lav mic so that we can hear you when you face away and the overall quality will be 100x better.

  • Holy Shit nice accuracy.

  • thats an unreal set up

  • That's the stick I have I love it

  • @xWRIGLEYRYANx it is a piece of the boards that they use at hockey rinks. I got it for free when they replaced the boards at my local arena.

  • i suggest having your hards further than 6 inches apart as well

  • @boot399 Having some trouble with comment posting?

  • stupid accurate! amazing

  • Are you in the hull of a ship? :P

    nice vid

  • cheater i don't like you

  • @bishoppx but you liked the video ;) thanks for thumbs upping it! The best way to cheat is to practice really hard so you are a lot better then the other team!

But that's not cheating at all

  • @beavboyz Haha, I know. It's just not fair, I can't do that!
