The flight time on these probes is 600 seconds but the speed is 3000m/sec. So you can't just warp to zero on a moon and fire a probe. You have to get close enough to the moon for the probe to be able to reach it. then fire the probe.
Check with your corp or alliance before wasting your time on this. It may have already been done. If it has not, the corp/alliance may pay for the info.
Few things mate, what probes where you using, I normal use Quest Survey probes (worth about 200K each), and take like 20-30min for results, but other versions in empire do not have the range unless you have a POS up already.
Also an error- Abundence means nothing yet, as T2 harvesters are not in game yet. Hopefully someday :(
yeah discovery survey probes are the ones you want, look like a torpedo- 200k per unit sounds right for them, they are the only type you can use for moon probing.
Now that i think of it you are correct in that abundance thing, but atleast the people know what it represents, thankyou for pointing that out though.
