I do PWNDO build by Fuggernought, cept I do it with some alterations (lvl cleaver then burning agony first, masochism I dont get til last) depending on the situation. Sorcerer boots, x3 Warmog's, Atma's, then last will be either FoN or thornmail depending on team comp. I will get decent kills but I won't die unless it's 5v1 and i get pinballed. I prefer mid or top. Tank build obviously. Rockin 6k hp with like a million hp regen per 5. Just tons of fun. Don't expect to get top in kills though.

Yay, a good Mundo player, all the other videos I've seen were people playing him pretty terribly.

FoN is not only a lategame item, it's a situational item, Mundo almost always gets enough MR from Merc Treads, Spirit Visage, and Wit's End(which helps his damage tremendously and makes him a threat, rather than just a sponge).

Can jump on someone with that build keep them constantly slowed, spell vamp and lifesteal and your ult makes you pretty damn hard to kill unless bursted, tanky and do quite a bit of damage, try it.

@bobduncan777 Spirit Visage's increase is not that much if you know how the math works. Also, this was a live commentary so if I did say that a Negatron Cloak builds into a Spirit Visage, that was a mistake on my part. I know the build components of the Visage, and everything the Cloak builds into. Spirit Visage's increase is not THAT insane.

I understand Atma's passive works great, but if you are Q>W>E why would you care for the AD more? I'd figure AP (RoA, Rylai's, or any other "defensive" AP item) since your W is on an AP scale, although, low I know. Could you provide your insight on this?

With level 5 E, you can take down turrets like crazy, while W (obviously) does nothing to turrets...

@Razagul319 Sorry, FoN is a fine item, but almost never first. It's passive doesn't work as good with low HP, you should always build HP before FoN imo. If you need the MR, get the Negatron Cloak, and build into something more useful. That's just my opinion though.

@Peten00b Well... let's see... If we don't take into account the influence of the extra health on the innate ability (aka passive) and the ultimate, we are left with a simple calculation:

Ruby crystal: 160 HP

Regrowth pendant: 15 HP/5 seconds = 3 HP/second

Health potion: 150 HP

Break even point: (160 - 150)/3 = 3.33 seconds. So basically, if you go back before 3.33 seconds, the Ruby crystal would be superior to the Regrowth pendant. After that, the Regrowth pendant + Health potion are better.

Boots of speed: 0 HP

Health potion: 150 HP

With Boots of speed, you can get 3 or 4 Health potions, giving you 450 or 600 HP.

Break even point:

3 potions: (450 - 150)/3 = 100 seconds

4 potions: (600 - 150)/3 = 150 seconds

So, if you go back before 100 or 150 seconds, Boots give you more HP. After that, the Regrowth pendant is better.

I didn't take into account the fact that you can dodge skill shots with boots, obviously...

A person can help out a team ENORMOUSLY without getting lots of kills or even sometimes assists (helping you NOT die for example). People really need to learn the value of a team and not just getting high kill score for themselves.

Mundo is widely considered the worst champ in the game. if you dont believe me, check a tier list. Any tier list. His ult is good for staying in lane but thats it. who the hell would focus an ulting Mundo in teamfights? He has no ability to peel enemies off his teammates and madreds shuts him down making him a terrible tank. He has one single ability that scales with anything, being about a .3 ratio. The indirect nerf to spirit visage fucked his up even more.

@JX206 Mundo doesnt need the ability to peal enemies away from his teammates, lots of other champs share that quality. Maldreds doesnt shut him down because any smart mundo has mr out the ass, reducing malreds damage to at least 2%, not very effective. Why bring up his scaling on his skills, that doesnt matter at all considering how you build him tank. Buy a frozen mallet and if you arent terrible with the cleaver, you can beat down damn near anyone trying to run. Tier lists are useless.

I agree with you that for the majority of champions, leveling up R whenever it's available is mandatory, but there are a few exceptions to that rule. Let's not get into Udyr or Karma, but besides them I never put more then one point into Maokai's ult at 6 until levels 17 and 18. It's strictly utility for how I play him. New Soraka same. Sometimes Nidalee, depending in situations, but I usually only hold off until 13 if that happens. Vayne as well. I consider those ults utility. Could be wrong.

@WatchMeSC That's one way to do it. Unfortunately, I'm a poor player sometimes and forget to use secondary abilities on a skill. I read Maokai's ult and I think. Oh, it's a teamfight tool that helps you survive longer. And so I forget to pop it in teamfights. Or I pop it at the wrong time. Too soon or too late. I usually just throw it down, let it soak up as long as my mana can hold it without too much drain and then pop it. Not always the correct way, though. Flexibility is key, I suppose.

Hey SC. Really enjoyed this commentary and love seeing some of the less played champs on ranked. But I Mundo's E, while not as useful, does have some benefits. Being able to control which creep is hit, having lower health costs, and the fact that other champs can't force you to take tower aggro are all some small benefits. But the main benefit is the increased damage to towers, if your opponents leave the lane. However, it's really up to the user's playing style and lane assignments.

@DerNoziroh I'll address your points in order. You can control what creep/s are hit with W, and you have the option to hit creepS. Lower health cost is a true statement. If you get forced to take tower aggro with your W on, you have positioned yourself quite poorly. The only way you can increase your damage to towers, is to get to them. W helps more than E for that. Thanks for bringing up those points though, if you have anything else to say don't hesitate :p. Or if you disagree.

Ofcourse it's your own choice, but whenever someone picks an underpowered champion in ranked I personally get kind of pissed off, because I do like to win. Again, it's your choice, but it's not very fair to your team mates (if they care about it that is).

Clearly, this game is more about skill and team comp than about champ selection individually. He just happens to know mundo better than udyr ;)

And even then, it's a waste. Mundo deals quite ridiculous damage later game with my build, and if you choose to 'ignore' him in teamfights, it will be to your own demise.

@WatchMeSC The point is that mundo requires an insane amount of items to be effective versus other champions, sure, if he gets those items he's a beast (and that's why he was unjustly nerfed, because of lower elo whining) but he just requires SO MUCH MORE gold to even be on par with other champions.

If you don't have insane items, after a while you become completely ignorable. Sure, you're very hard to kill, but just like with shen, that doesn't matter if you don't bring anything else to t table

But I could see that he does need a bit more gold than most to be effective, but I think he scales with the gold investment better than quite a few champs.

@WatchMeSC Yes, he can get a bit ridiculous with the right items, but he really just needs a shitload of gold to still do damage while also being tanky. I think something like warmogs - trinity - mercs - atmas - wits end and something like guardian angel (those last 2 items are a bit dependent on your enemy team) would be pretty close to optimal since you're super tanky with roughly 200 armor / 150 mr depending on runes and +- 3500 health along with 180 ad (+100) 1.1 as 30%crit and wits end +40m
